Morning!
Christopher was up every hour last night feeling sick and with a sore tummy, so I had to sit till he fell asleep with my hand on his tummy (he wouldn't use the hot water bottle). Ended up being sick at 6am, went back to sleep and woke up fine. Think it was because he didn't eat his dinner, so will need to make sure and offer him toast or cereal (even though it feels like he's winning by not eating his dinner).
Raining again so no idea what I'm going to do with them.0 -

sorry I dissapeared last night, major excitement at chez boo. Isla took a bottle! :j With no tears or screams just happily chugged it back off OH. Admittedly it was only 1oz but that's a 100% improvement so there's hope I can have a baby free night out for my 30th birthday  (Aless, there's hope for Finn yet)
Always I too have a tonne of housework to do but there's a chance the MIL might call round this afternoon so I'm sorely tempted to go out for the day so I'm not inI'm not in the mood for a discussion on my parenting techniques.
Going to read back now, hope everyones well.
Yay for taking a bottle! We found that Benjamin needed to be hungry but not starving when hubby gave him a bottle and that I needed to be out of the way. The minute Benjamin got upset there was no way he would take one.
Caz got Erin to take one by wrapping it in her T-shirt.
If I had another I would definitely introduce a bottle by 6 weeks, or as soon as BF is well established, to prevent problems. Loads of my RL mummy friends have babies who won't take a bottle at all.
Why don't you use your MIL being there to do the housework (in another part of the house of course!!!)
I have now not been BF for 5 days, nothing to report on my boobies, they appear not to have noticed!! When can I go and be measured for a new bra? I don't think I have changed that much but would like to check (and to have the excuse to buy new bras)

Mel, OH's kept breaking. It either wouldn't turn on/off then the volume kept going funny and he take's it back to the apple shop (he bought it at O2) and they've repaired it for him. Last time he took it the man said 'oh, the backs a bit scratched, I'll give you a new one' It was 10 months old at the time. :TBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -

I keep meaning to ask (although it's totally unrelated to parenting or money saving) what one can do with unwanted earrings? Do charity shops take them? I was given some for my birthday but not having pierced ears I don't know anything about them.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Isla took a bottle fine until she was 6 weeks old then point blank refused. I'd introduced it early as I'd read so much about babies refusing them that I thought I'd get in early and hope for the best rather than wait and then she wouldn't take it. We've tried several different types of bottle and at all stages of hunger, OH putting my t-shirt on etc but they all just caused screaming tantrums until last night.

MIL smells of smoke and Isla screams blue murder when she holds her because she doesn't like itCan't blame Isla really, it reeks!

Not too sure how long you need to wait but I'm glad to hear boobies haven't been sore. Had Benjamin cut down gradually himself anyway?Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
I've been wondering how long the milk takes to disappear - it's almost a month since Alice actually fed (and it was two weeks before that) but I still have milk.
Oh I missed Alice stopping. Does that mean you are planning number 2
How do you know you still have milk?
I dunno, I thought I would struggle with changes but nothing *shrugs*
Edit - Boo - ah, would Isla sit in a bouncer and be bounced by MIL maybe?
Yup - Benjamin was only feeding once a day in the morning, sometimes both sides but mostly just 1 side. It had been ages since he fed from me during the day (I went back to work 3 days a week in November and we stopped daytime feeds then). I can't remember the last time my boobs felt full.
He did spend ages staring at my boob in the bath the other night and then came closer so I quickly distracted him!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Caz, are you around? I just got my Parcelbee Paypal dispute settled in my favour and they say they're going to refund my money.
Susan, I don't know, I'm not sure if there are restrictions in charity shops but regular shops won't return earrings. Are they pretty and could you maybe hoard them for regifting?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

My milk was gone within a few days of stopping BF with Amber, tbh it was going anyway. Was a few weeks with the boys (but I stopped at 1-2weeks). My friend still has milk now, she stopped at 6 months and her little girl is 3!0
