    Guess who's up again?

I went in to give OH a little break cause I thought he must be working so hard to soothe the beastie, but he was reading in bed while she howled!

Own-bedding will now be on hold until these teeth are in. I can't take it.

((hugs)) ss that burning is still on offer if you want it :D x

DH has just agreed to add story reading to his and Katie's bedtime routine as she has just settled really quickly for him after he read her a story.

MDW I'm trying to talk myself out of stabbing him in the face. I'm so angry - how can he possibly just lie there reading while she's howling her little heart out?

She's now playing with stuff and hopefully it will tire her out. I gave her some calpol for the tooth pain, it should kick in soon enough.

:rotfl: it is an hour till Easter Sunday, and the Saturday night film on one of the main German networks is The Exorcist.

I get cross with DH as he won't tell her off, he leaves it all to me as he doesn't like upsetting her so I'm the monster as I tell her off and won't let her do stuff.

He does his share though, he took on nappy changing and bathing duties, he still takes his turn with the toilet run, he sorts the kitchen out after I've been cooking.

Ok altogether all week we made puff candy ( holiday honeycomb in the recipe book), chocolate fudge, fudge, muffins x2, fairy cakes and a heck of a lot of mess!!!!
We've all had great fun, they go home tomoro but they wanted to stay longer.

Sounds very much like my DH, bar the bathing and bedding that is my job!!!

The thing is, he does loads of stuff with her, but as time goes on he seems to have unrealistic ideas of what she can and can't do. Some things he wants to believe she's still a newborn and not capable of them (like imitating sounds, he thinks I'm overreacting when I tell him not to swear around her), but when it comes to stuff like sleeping and not grabbing he thinks she should be able to follow instructions of No, and Go to sleep. And she'll be eight months old tomorrow, she's just too young for that. All the time I was pregnant he'd say, Our baby won't do X, and I laughed at him, but it seems like he believed it.

I don't think it would marble, it doesn't have the right consistency. Colour it, yep. But you can throw on nuts or chocolate chunks (you would love peanut butter fudge). About a week is what it says it will last if you look online.
