That is exactly the same as Kai did until about 2wks ago when he learnt how to get his leg over it, he loves it even more now...especially as we cheer and clap him whenever eh does it:D

OH's grandparents are looking to buy a house to rent out so we are possibly thinking of renting it off them (think around £400 for a 3-bed place in lovely rural West Wales) and they would probably leave it to us.
Pros - no mortgage, no need to work full time, nearer family (both mine & OH's), beautiful location with beaches and national park etc
Cons - no MSE meets (although I'm only 90minutes from Weezl), quite rural (but I'm used to that from when I grew up), I don't really know many people (but then I don't where I am now), poor job prospects.

Quite exciting really - we plan to start paying off some of our mortgage so that when we sell we have a nice sum in the bank ready for Number 2 (and 3, 4 and 5) :rotfl:

I normally do, MFD, and we often leave her to normal crying. If it was just regular crying I'd have been ok with it, but it was pure shrieking and when I went in her little eyes were wide open and she looked terrified and was all clinging and shaky when I picked her up.

[STRIKE]Partly[/STRIKE] Mostly I'm fuming that he went on and on about how we had to make sure she slept in the crib but left most of the wrangling her into it to me - after he was the one who insisted she slept in our bed and not the damned crib and kept telling me I was wrong to think that it would make her think the bed was hers and make her not want the crib.

Babies get clingy and shaky when you leave them to cry!!! That is what happens. That is why you leave them, so they settle!! Benjamin is dead easy to settle from that point, cuddle and off.

What do you want him to do???

Anyone want a wide awake 10mth old? :cool: He just will not sleep! No matter what We thought all the fresh air today night work (certainly has on OH who's lying here snoring next to me!) but Rhys is just bouncing off the walls.. We thought it might be teeth (excuse for everything!) so he's had bonjela, teetha powder and Calpol at various times over the day but no effect what so ever!

Was hoping for a day out tomorrow but his constant whingy is grinding me down. Feel like I just want to get home again to get him where he's used to so hopefully he'll cave and sleep in his usual boring surroundings :cool: Maybe have a local day out on Monday if the weather's nice and he has a decent night's sleep.

Anyway... OH took me on a very scary drive earlier! Up a bloody mountain (big hill?) with measly posts way more than a car's length apart between the edge of the road and a HUGE drop off the side of said mountain :eek: I was not a happy bunny Normally I like drives like that and I do trust him and it's one he's done loads of times before, but normally they have crash barriers! :cool:

Mostly I think you're right MFD, but tonight it just feels like he really enjoys the bit of parenting where the baby's happy and smiling and not screeching or crying or overtired and just doing all the cool stuff, and I get all the !!!!!! bits or he dumps her somewhere because he doesn't want to deal with them.

Venting here means Molly doesn't see her parents arguing and that can only be a good thing.

On that note I am off to bed in a strop.

Edit: what I want is for him to be more interactive with her when she's being difficult instead of only when she's happy. Tonight he's told her off for squealing too loudly (happy squealing) and dumped her in front of a DVD because his computer slowed down and he thinks that is more important than settling her. She won't remember this when she's older, but I will and it hurts my heart that there is so often something he'd rather be doing.
