Or you could in the 2 minutes you have available after a normal boot, go into Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs, uninstall your graphics drivers, then immediately go into Device Manager --> Display Adapters, right click on your card and select uninstall.
Reboot and it will startup in normal mode with the Windows default VGA of 640 x 480. Cancel the Add Hardware Wizard when it detects your card, then go to uninstall Norton. Reboot, and allow the Add Hardware Wizard to re-instal your graphics card - it will search for and instal with Microsoft drivers initially. You can then go to the Dell website and download the latest correct drivers for your card.

Or uninstall the graphics driver in safe mode and then reboot. No rush to get it done in the two minutes and less likely to make a mistake!

hello. I updated the driver for the video card and monitor but that didn't make a difference. I've also uninstalled NAV2006. I am still having the same problem. Does anybody know what the problem could be? Thanks0

Could be one of many things. Could be a weak power supply unit (psu) that can't cope with the new video card. Download and instal Speedfan from here. Run it and post back what it's showing for your Vcore, +3.3, +5 and +12V voltages.

Try a system restore before you wipe it..

Bit drastic, plus if you have a psu problem or faulty RAM for example, then a format will not fix the problem.
If you didn't like Speedfan try PC Wizard 2006 from here.
When you run it you will see twelve icon buttons in the left hand pane. The last one is 'Voltages, Temps and Fans.' Just click on it and that will provide the necessary info.

it does show Ram as a possible problem from that error code, have you tried opeing the PC and reseating them (unplug then replug )
if you have 2 sticks of Ram then try unlpugging 1 and then turn the PC back on and see how it goes, if no crash then unplug that one and try the other, if it crashes then you have your answer.Ex forum ambassador
