Has anyone had any alcohol during their pregnancy? All of a sudden I'm having an urge for a glass of lager (even though I usually don't touch the stuff!). Also a bit worried about whether I will keel over at the sniff of a drink as I haven't had a drop since January!

    Hiya :)
I've not had anything significant since August last year but had a glass at Christmas and felt terribly guilty about making the baby !!!!ed! LMAO.

I don't think it's going to harm you to have a couple of small sips, you may find you don't like it, despite craving it! Or have a small shandy, for the flavour.

And yes, you probably WILL keel over. LMAO! I know I did at Christmas!!

Just make sure you're not going to be doing anything other than sleeping afterwards.

I had wine over Christmas, and I've had beer while watching football on TV. As long as you just have one drink, it shouldn't do any harm.

Saw my midwife and she said it's just Braxton Hicks and not real contractions. However my bump size is 44 weeks and I'm only 36 weeks

Going to hospital for an appointment with the consultant. If I haven't delivered by then, she said be prepared for him saying they would like to induce me. Would rather go into natural labour, so will be trying DIY inductions over the weekend ;)
Here I go again on my own....

Hubby handed me a glass of champagne on my birthday and was horrified when I drank it :D. I also have had a beer craving and felt better after a single sip.
At least I still haven't caved into pate. Although I have put it on my hospital bag list . The minute that baby's out...!

I think you are allowed one unit a week, which is a small glass of wine, or a 1/2 pint.

I've had a glass of wine on the odd occassion and when I was keeping my pg quiet, people were none the wiser.

Don't you lose the washable pads in the load? was going to get washable ones but theought i'd be constantly replacing them anyway

I hand wash them at the end of the day, only takes a few seconds - I then leave them on the radiator to dry. I sometimes leak during the night, but I really can't be bothered wearing a bra in bed, so the base sheet gets washed more often...:p

Am I right in thinking that it's OK to go back to brie/stilton/pate even if you are Breast feeding? My cravings for all of the above have just started t thew extent that I have had to ask DH not to bring it into the house!!...thank goodness I only have 4 weeks left to go!!

All I've had is a couple of tiny sips of wine from DH's glass. It's actually bugging me quite a lot that I can't have any (I know I could have a small glass, but I'd feel guilty and I know DH would make me feel guilty :o ).

I really fancy wine as well, which is weird as I didn't fancy alcohol at all when I was expecting DS, but this time round, I salivate every time I see anyone with a nice glass of chilled white (I'm not an alkie - honest - despite what that makes me sound like :o :rotfl: )

As I'm planning to breastfeed, I know I won't be able to drink too much once the baby's out, but as you said, even a tiny glass will probably be enough after 10 months of no drink  :D

I'm pretty sure they're okay to have during breastfeeding. (Can't be 100% sure as I don't like blue cheeses :D). Generally, the rules of what you're not supposed to have during breastfeeding are a lot less strict than 'forbidden' things during pregnancy. :T
