I am due to be induced tomorrow and I am absolutely dreading it ! I am even more worried now after watching Panorama, I already feel like a piece of meat and unfortunately I have read too much about being induced and what can go wrong on the internet and now the horror stories on Panorama - I am 10 days overdue and just wanted everything to be natural and with no interference I feel a bit pushed into a corner and really upset about it fingers crossed I will go into labour tonight !

Oh Kennyjosiah, i'm sorry what should be such a happy time has been filled with stress for you :( I watched "Paranoia" last night as well and wished I hadn't. All the best and I hope you won't be reading this immediately as that probably means you went into labour last night!!

I was induced with my second, and given the choice, I would do it again this time round. It was a much better labour, quicker, I recovered quicker and baby was perfect.

    Good luck.

The horror stories are obviously the worst stories they could get hold of - no point in them featuring lots of nice, normal stories otherwise they wouldn't have a programme. My mom was induced with my younger sister and delivered totally normally (well, apart from the cut they used to give everyone back then). Fingers crossed that labour started for you yesterday, if not today!

    Hello all,
I hope youwill forgive me for not reading the first 150 odd pages of this thread? I am due in 4 weeks and think I probably ought to start looking for a decent nursing bra. Money is tight (hence i'm here!!) and £25 seems extortionate for a nursing bra considering I 'm assuming i'm going to need about 4? SO:

Where is the best/cheapest place currently to buy some? I hve some mothercare vouchers for £5-00 off mat wear over £30 if this sways the arguement.

Many thanks in advance for your help, I really appreciate it!

Figleaves.com have some good maternity/nursing bras, from £10 upwards. Try the voucher section or HotUKDeals.com for various discounts - you can often get 10-20% off plus free shipping. I personally love the Emma Jane range - very comfy.

High street wise, I do not recommend M&S. I got fitted there and bought some bras that were rather uncomfy, after wearing for a while. Thought it was just tender boobs. I wore them for a few weeks until it occurred to me to get hubby to help measure me and discovered they were too small. Don't know what Mothercare is like.

I got some maternity/nursing bras at Ethel Austin for £4 each! I think they are very comfy, but I think they may only go up to a DD cup, or at least they did at our shop.

I got some Emma Jane ones from ebay for around £12 each. I struggled to find anywhere with bigger cup sizes in stock.

I've had some twinges here last night and this morning. I can't decide if it's strong Braxton Hicks or proper labour starting. I'm going to see my community midwife this afternoon anyway, so will see what she says. Poor hubby is all panicky and a bundle of nerves, while I'm all calm and managed to write an essay for uni this morning :D
Here I go again on my own....

When I had DS nearly 4 years ago, I got most of my breastfeeding bras from Asda, for £5-£6 I think. They were great - in fact I've kept them so will use them again as long as they fit.

The problem is finding an Asda that stocks materinty stuff, as not many do, I don't think. Worth having a look though! :)

I am 15 & 4 and the last few days I am sure I have felt the baby move. It is flutters low down in my belly, especially if I am lying still in bed at night. Somebody else I know is 16 & 5 with her second and has told me it is too early to feel the baby and it must be something else. Is this right? I am sure it is the baby because it is certainly not wind and just like everybody has described! Thanks!!
It's not too early, and you're not going mad. :D It certainly sounds like it's the baby - I too found it was easier to feel the movements when lying down.

I felt this one at 15 weeks and DS at 16, so it does happen. ;)

It will take ages for anyone else to feel it though, through your tummy I mean, which is a bit frustrating. My DH has only been able to feel the kicks properly very recently (I'm 23 weeks).

  Shhhh Becles! I'm due 2 days before you and I DON'T need to be having the baby yet!! Don't even suggest yours might be coming early or mine will want to as well! ;)
    LMAO!

I've started to have quite long periods of period like pain and back ache, although my BH have subsided greatly in the last few weeks. I hope it's just my body practicing!!

I have had BH since about 20 weeks and have felt the baby move since about 14 weeks. I think it depends how sensitive you are really. I could always feel when I was ovulating...same type of fluttering as when you first feel the baby move...so I was always going to feel movemets early I think, although i'm no skinny minnie like they say you have to be to feel early movement!

Hi, thanks everyone for your messages - I went in this morning but the labour ward was extremely busy and so they have put me off until Sunday morning but they have explained everything in detail - they were absolutely brilliant couldnt be nicer, the ward was calm and relaxed and the midwifes lovely - so I am not in the least bit worried now and looking forward to Sunday (feel a bit disappointed it isnt over with) but in the meantime I am eating Pineapples, and instructions from midwife to keep hubby extremely busy (if you know what I mean) I have plans to spoil the Derby match tomorrow (Man U and Man City) and have the baby during the match ! :rotfl:
