Morning diary! What a wet and grey day we have today, that will be 2 loads to the drier then!!
Ooohhh thanks Choo, thats given me loads to have a nosey through and make more meals. I really like the bacon and mushroom pasta idea but DH hates mushrooms and creamy stuff so I cant do that for him. But if hes out I could cook it..Mummytogirls x0 -
Hmm didnt mean to post so soon then!!
Well nothing too exciting to report. One of my ebayers have paid up so ive transferred £17.68 (or 28p cant remember!) out of the paypal this morning and should hit Wednesday.
Still waiting for the ebayer who won the other item to pay. Hope they get a shifty on as its nearly £30!! This will take my holiday fund right up once these payments credit.
Im going to aerobics with a friend tonight  so ive got my tea for my lunch which is cottage pie! Then will have a light tea of soup or something.
Small spend day today of £3.20 as I needed to catch the bus and pay DD's snakc money. Oh and there will be £4 to aerobics too so maybe it might be a medium spend day! Then tomorrow and Wednesday should be NSD.
Im absolutely shattered today as I could not for love nor money get to sleep last night.
Right thats enough from me anyway!

Just a quickie, just done the fortnightly readings.
Weve used £32.65 in both gas and electricity which equates to £16 a week. Not too bad considering ive had 2 weeks of using the tumble drier!

I think I have been really good on the electricity usage over the past 2 weeks - I wonder whether it would be worth getting one of these energy meters that are being advertised by British Gas? Although I would probably become a big obsessive about watching it all the time and chasing everyone round the house turning everything offJust keep swimming!0

Morning Itsa,
Im pretty pleased with those figures too. Id probably end up going way overboard if I had one of those monitors!!!
Well a bit of a family rant here, and if anyone with school age children has any advice please tell me!
For a while now DD1 has come home the odd night saying this child in her class (a boy) has pushed her etc. Weve just dealt with it by saying well you tell your teacher if he does this again and basically try and keep away from him. I didnt want to keep going in saying DD's said this in case she was just exagerating.
Yesterday when mil picked her up the teacher had a word and told mil that DD had hit the child around the head with her pumps!
They had dealt with it so we didnt feel like we should go over old ground but asked her why she had done this. She told us it was this certain boy and basically I think she has just had enough and thought sod this ive not taking you pushing me anymore.
So my dads saying we should be telling her to stick up for herself but im not sure the school would view this as being right (obviously my dads generation of parenting coming in here!).
So do I just let it lie and tell DD to keep away? Or do I need to be speaking to the teacher everytime she comes home saying this boy has pushed her?!
Ive also heard other stories of this boy knocking another child clean off a chair and him banging his head on the table! Im new to all this and I just dont know what to do for the best. Any suggestions?
Anyway, still no payment from the ebayer . Will email again this afternoon as they havent replied to my last email. If they just got back to me it wouldnt be so bad.
Right best get on. Catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Sorry Mummytogirls but I had a little snigger when I read that your DD had hit the boy with her pumps, she must have just had enough of him and decided to sort it out herself, bless her.
Its a pity that we can't teach our kids to stick up for themselves but unfortunately schools do take a very dim view of it. I always tell my 2 to go and find a teacher if someones mean to them, sometimes the teachers not bothered but again you can't confront the child yourself to sort it out.
I would get your DD to tell you when this child is mean to her and then keep a note of it all in a notebook/phone etc and then if its not a serious incident you've got a record of it. If the situation is of a more serious nature I would speak to the teacher immediately and if this child continues to be a bully and the teacher doesn't appear to be sorting it out I would have no hesitation in going to see the Headteacher and airing my views with them.
We've got several little thugs at our school and the best advice that I'd love to give my 2 would be sort them out yourself but don't get caught doing it but unfortunately that isn't the way to do it.
Good luck, its heartbreaking when my 2 come home saying that someones been mean to them but I console myself with the thought at least my 2 aren't troublemakers and wouldn't dream of been nasty to anyone else (apart from each other) :rotfl:0
