Thanks for your advice Choo, I think we more or less have the same views here.
Its just really shocked me DD retaliating (sp!) in that way! If someone had told me DD2 had done such a thing id have believed it cos shes a little swine but not DD1! Shes no angel dont get me wrong but shes never hit anyone in her life (that I know of!).

Haha well other than each other like you say :rotfl:. Even then its usually DD2 bullying DD1!

I get really upset hearing about this kind of thing. Im a real softie anyway and had a lump in my throat discussing it with the teacher this morning :(! I need to toughen up as my mum and dad say, but this is me and how I am!!

Blooming kids, this is just the start isnt it!

Right today was supposed to be a NSD but has turned into another LSD. Weve run out of olive oil, weetabix and eggs so far this week. Not good when youve got omelettes planned for tea and 1 egg!!! So after school I popped up the farmshop and spent £7 in there to tide us over until the weekend.

1/4 of a tank of petrol left so im preying this will last the next 8 days but I think im being a bit ambitious on that one!!

Just rung and changed the date of the council tax as it was set to go out 25th and I dont get paid until 26th which is no good! Anyway thats changed now so one less thing to think about.

Righty ho catch up soon x x x

  • I have to say I chuckled too :o I am dreading the times when DD comes home and says things like that because my OH is very much of the opinion that if someone hits her, she has every right to hit them back :( When he was young, he was quite small and I think he got a bit picked on until he whacked a bully back and nobody bothered him again so he thinks that's the way to do it  I am hoping as she is a girl, we won't have that many squirmishes, normally we get "she is being mean and won't play, won't let me play etc"

Hi Mummy, I have been following your diary and subscribed, If I remember right is your daughter about five or six ? if she is I would just explain to teacher about what she has told you about the boy keep pushing her. I work in reception class and we would always like to know if a child is being bullied. At that age its not easy for children to understand when someone is not nice to them. The teacher will probably keep an eye out then and watch what's happening throughout the day. Sometimes it can happen at lunchtime so it might be as well to get teacher to ask lunchtime supervisors to watch out. Don't feel a nuisance having a word It's our job to keep children safe and bullying is unacceptable and should not be tollerated how minor the incident may seem. HTH Savvy xx

Hi Savvy, thank you for your advice I really appreciate it. DD is 4 and only in nursery class. Will definately make a point of speaking to the teacher should it happen again. I think they are aware of his behaviour though.

Well the ebayer still hasnt paid or replied to my message . Ive just sent another message and told them if I dont hear back I will be offering to the next highest bidder. Why do they do that argh!!

Weather is bloody pants again, what on earth is going on?!
2 loads to be washed and dried tonight then.

Dont think ive anything else to report, 8 days til payday :T xx

Oh mummy it's horrible when things like that happen to our precious children :( I remember Little Miss being at nursery and me telling her that if anyone hit her, not to hit back but to tell one of the teachers. I am very particular about fairness and equality, honesty and no cheating, etc. I told her that every day for about a year then I found out that every other parent at the nursery was telling their child to hit back. I thought stuff that! So I told Little Miss that if someone hit her just to hit back but never to hit first (I know how it sounds). Anyway, now if there is any trouble I try to sort it out with the teacher first. No joy there and I will go straight to the head teacher. I'm not too quiet to stick up for my child and bullying is wrong. Also, I got a phone call from the school one day to tell me that LM and another child had written a nasty note to a girl in the class. Believe me when I tell you LM was suitably punished for that one. As much as I don't want her to be bullied, I don't want her to be the bully either. She knows my punishments now and I rarely have to dish them out  but I certainly do if necessary. My best advice to you would be to talk to the teacher in the first instance. They were quick to come to come to you when DD did something (which is hilarious! :rotfl:Good for her :T) I think we can see from your posts that this is not common practice for DD. Sometimes I am too scared to stick up for myself but I will ALWAYS stick up for my child :)

  • I pretty much agree with everything GAP said :D

I have so far been really lucky with DD and school as she loves to go. She looks forward to going after the weekend and the school holidays, I would imagine as she moves to KS2 it will be more like proper school whereas at the moment in year 1 it is very much play she will probably change her mind. But being an only she loves going as she loves the interaction with the other kids.

I do look at my friends little girl and she seems a troubled soul though, she always seems a bit bedraggled, holes in her tights, hair hanging out dragging her coat on the floor and apparently she says she doesn't like school and gets upset about going, I think myself so lucky that I have the opposite (for now).

I remember once when DD was at pre-school that one of the other parents came up to me to tell me that their little boy had come home with a note because DD had smacked him round the head with a plastic cricket bat. I was mortified and also horrified that they didnt tell me and that I had to hear it off the other parent. When I asked them they said that the little boy wanted DD to play with him and wouldnt take no for an answer and she got fed up. They said they had dealt with the issue at the time and she had known that what had done was wrong and therefore they didn't feel the need to involve me, I think you should know though as like GAP said, I wouldn't want her to be bullied but I also wouldn't want her to be the bully! :)

    Hi Mummytogirls

Poor DD, Spring and autumn is the time when the virus is most active. It starts off in a really odd place like on the tummy or back of the neck and theres usually just one spot but then they just errupt and they usually look like a blister. My 2 both got them about 6 years ago on the same day so we got it all over with in a week.
If is chickenpox try bathing her in a warm bath with bicarbonate of soda in the water, that usually soothes them. I also gave my 2 piriton as well and that stopped them from itiching.

Its really contagious as well so the chances are that your other DD will get it as well.

I'm jealous of your medal, I want one :rotfl:

    Have a good day xx
