Oh my boys rooms are terrible. My only saving grace is when DS (14) girlfriend comes over, he tidied up then.

Luckily we live in a 3 storey house and their rooms are on the top floor. I try to avoid going up there very much.
  • Evening Diary,

Sorry I've not been around for a couple of days, was busy on Sunday and then I've not felt too great since Thursday and couldn't keep my eyes open. Feeling a bit better today so dragged myself back to the gym, didn't do 100% but I'm glad I made the effort.

Weve had no heating or hot water since yesterday but DH has managed to fix it this evening. Weve had this problem before so he knew what to do. Going to get it insured now as we can't be having this! Luckily DD2 had a shower at swimming and I had a shower at the gym!

Yesterday was NSD7. Today I've spent £20 in Mr T's on a few supplies including a £10 N3xt gift card for a friend who's had a baby recently.

Right I think thats all from me.

    Hope all ok xx

Sorry to hear you're not well. I certainly got my money's worth out of heating cover over the latest few years. Not got it at the moment due to new system but will when the guarantee runs out.

Hope you feel better soon xx

  • Evening Diary,

Rubbish day weather wise here, I need to go back out for DD2 shortly and the weather is just really awful! At least we have heating now :D.
DD1 has been at it again, definitely the hormones kicking in with that one. I have just gone ballistic though as she told DD2 to f*ck off!
DH has just taken her off to football and I've said we need to sit down with her and go through boundaries with her as hormones or no hormones I will not accept her swearing and this absolute lack of respect for us and the house.

So other than the above it has been NSD 8 .

2 days until payday, feel massively skint so really looking forward to that!!!

WF, HHOD and SA, I'm feeling loads better today thank you :)

    Hope all ok xx

  • Lots of hugs and virtual Gin sent your way :D. No seriously you have my sympathy my 2 are 13 and 14, DD is much worse that DS for being stroppy and disrespectful. Some days I could quite happily strangle her and other days she is the sweetest thing going.

 at DD 1 .. Although DS is the same with his attitude! I say would you speak to your teacher like you speak to me? He always says no  and he's only 8! I'm sure I wasn't half as bad as he is at 8 :o :rotfl:

With you on the weather too! its dark and wet and miserable!

  • Hormones are just rubbish for teenagers - I know that I was awful as a teenager and I think getting pregnant at 15 saved me from murdering my mother who seemed to get all my wrath as I moved out.
I recognised many years ago how unreasonable I was but of course at the time I didn't.

Karma has returned though and presented me with DD, now 14 who is like a mini-me but does not swear as much as I did.

I find that 1 week per month (2 weeks before her period) she is in the foulest mood ever - she slams doors, throws things (not at us), cries over stupid things and goes on massive rants.
The following week she is just moody with no doors slamming and no crying and then her period arrives and peace is restored for 2 weeks and it all starts again.

I just buy a lot of chocolate and try to not say anything which will annoy or upset her.

My poor DH really suffers as me and DD are not in sync so the 2 weeks when she is nice I turn in to a monster and argue a lot.

I found that Agnus Castus stabilised my moods and as I have not been taking it recently my moods have been terrible, I am considering starting DD on it to try and control her moods and to try and bring harmony to the house!!!
  • Teenagers are tricky, I'm glad mine have got past the teenage tantrums but we have suffered in the past :(.

Apparently the age at which children appreciate their parents is 22, because this is when their brains finish maturing. So not long to wait then .
