Afternoon,
I would agree with making a complaint as you did make it clear that you wanted it protected. At least they mended what they came to mend so I suppose it could have been worse? Are the children off for another week? You have planned the activities really well. Think I am learning that I have to plan all of the events that occur which I know will be happening. It is not as if half term or school holidays are a surprise are they??
Have a great weekend. xxxE.F. #38 240.55/1000 SPC8 #375

Thanks for all your comments and yes they did come yesterday! I was straight on the phone in the morning and I was second on the list. They have fixed it, needed a new heating element which DH thought. Im annoyed though and contemplating a complaint but not sure it will get me anywhere. Basically I asked them to cover up my washer as they were getting a bit too close and this was basically laughed at. About half way through the guy went to his van and got a sheet to cover it, great I thought hes come to his senses and realised hes getting too close and you can tell its brand new. Wasnt until theyd gone that I realised oh no they had sodding scratched it. Not happy as I knew this was going to happen. Should have just gone on got the cover myself. I wouldnt mind but its silver so the scratches show up easily and the little matter that weve only had it about 3 weeks! Anyway will sort that out if we decide to complain, DH wants to but I dont know if it will get us anywhere.
Oh mummytogirls..
This happened to us as well. We had some workmen in to do some kitchen stuff (we were council tenants) and we had pulled out the washing machine for them to get behind and my DH caught them using the top as a saw bench:eek:
The problem was our washing machine was almost brand new and had cost £900:eek:
We made a complaint and they agreed to cover the cost of a new lid but in the end Dyson gave it to us for free as it was under warranty - which was good in a way but then the council got away with no compensation:mad:
What gets me is why work men think it is ok to damage other peoples property (I know it is not intentional), I'm sure if they did DIY in their own home they would use the correct equipment.
I am all for complaining about it - they should cough up for the damage to be repaired.0 -
Morning All,
Thanks for all your easter wishes and comments about the complaint re washer. We havent done anything about it as yet, will speak to DH when he gets home.
So weve had a lovely weekend although im not feeling at my best! On Sunday, the kids woke us up at 6.30 and I felt hungover which I thought was basically because we had been woken up early out of a deep sleep. Ive had this headache on and off since and I just cant seem to shift it
. We still went out for the afternoon yesterday but I did feel pants. We went to this local country park that has a big play area, duck pond etc. Took some money for an icecream and thats all we spent which isnt bad for a few hours out in my books!
Today the weather here is total pants, raining all day. DH has just taken his bike for the MOT since the place on Friday had had a fire so couldnt do it. It runs out today so I hope nothing goes wrong on this occasion as he uses it for work and hes back tomorrow !
Kids are sat watching TV at the moment, I think all the days out, long days of playing out etc are taking their toll. It wont last long though im sure. Weve got some baking to do, the amount of chocolate they received is ridiculous. We emptied them out of the cardboard boxes yesterday and they both had a carrier bag full! Ive said they can melt some down and make some crispy buns. Ive also got some Easter sewing kits for them. If they get really bored we might take them to spend some of their money which they were also given for easter!
Just waiting for Mr T's at the minute, theyre due between 9 and 10, so anytime really.
Payday next Tuesday cant wait!
Just back after 10 minutes of putting away my shopping as Mr T's were very prompt this morning. Thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
What a good idea to melt the chocolate and make cakes....why didn't I think of that (too late now
) !
My kids are the same, yesterday they were both in bed by 6.20 and asleep by 6.30 even though as I was saying good night to DD she was sobbing her eyes out "buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut mummy I'm not tired!!!!!!!!!!" clearly she was as I checked again 10 mins later and they were both snoring! Holidays are clearly more tiring than I ever imagined

Im sure they will get bored of eating this much chocolate DFW, it is actually silly the amount they received. They also have a chocolate coin maker which may make an appearance too!!! It wastes an hour if nothing else haha.
The holidays definitely do take their toll.... not just on the kids either :rotfl: xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning Diary,
Well its DD2's turn to be feeling unwell now. She came into our bedroom at 7am complaining of headache and was burning up. Shes been given calpol and is still in my bed watching TV which is totally unlike her, she doesnt even feel like any breakfast which we know then shes definitely not well!!
Nothing much to report from yesterday. We went to one of the neighbours for a catch up and then to the park. Costs for the day were £2 on ice creams when the ice cream van came round. Probably wont spend anything today either since DD isnt well.
Its nice and bright here today, just waiting for the grass to dry off a bit before I go peg out.
Hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -

Afternoon Diary,
Having another day at home today as DD2 still unwell, she was sick at 6am this morning but no more since thankfully. I personally think she overheated in bed but you can never be certain. Had to take her out in her pjs in the car this morning to buy more medicine. Left them in the car in the car park but right outside the window where I could them at all times as I couldnt bear to get her dressed poor thing. We had calprofen in but she just refused to take it so went and spent another £7 on medicines! Suppose you cant put a price on your children feeling better.
So ive just logged in and done a few surveys. Now at 250/1000 points for op world and £28/£40 for 0nepoll so cant complain really.
Nothing much more to report. The weather is pants here today so no washing washed as I knew it wouldnt dry!
Hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Oh I have got something to report just remembered after seeing my email! Went through quidc0 to sort out the dogs insurance, went with D. Line and my £50 cashback has tracked. Will owe Quidco £5 for their free but I suppose £45 free cant be sniffed at! xxMummytogirls x0
