    Hi Mummy

Poor DD hurting her chin and bless all the little ones for their concern, they all sound so lovely. We've been lucky in the respect that we've only had 2 trips to A& E in 12 years.

The suns disappeared here as well xxx
  • That's fantastic news about the gift card, treat yourself to something nice.
  • fantastic news on the giftcard! was worth it after all ;)

I hope your DD's stitches are healing well? My DD is quite cautious usually too and the only accident she has had was last month but we didn't go to a&e....it looked worse than it actually was! We were at a birthday party (bowling) and DD was getting the balls from the thing that carries them from the end of the alley back to you again and she caught her hand in the mechanical bit that throws the ball back out at you! It was well and truly stuck and I had to rip her hand out :( was awful she was screaming, there was blood everywhere and so i started screaming for help. Oh lordy. After cleaning it and seeing nothing was missing we bandaged it and had it in ice and she was fine!! Only bruising which took a few weeks to go. The manager said she was lucky her hand was so tiny as it could have been worse . God, kids are sent to try us eh! Both ds's have been to a&e a gazillion times as always jumping off things/climbing on things/ doing things they shouldn't be doing!

Hiya, hope your DD is on the mend sounds nasty poor little thing.

Great news on giftcard, I should think so too as you say that amount of money is huge to be out of your budget for so long!

I think the same as other on the holiday, you're not adding to the debt and the kids grow up so fast you need to have a holiday to have time with them and to recharge the debt-busting batteries. We've decided to save our Mr T vouchers for a holiday to a Venice caravan park next August, our first summer holiday abroad with the kids ever! I last went to Venice when I was 8, I'll be 38 next year!

    Morning Everyone,

Thanks for all your lovely messages :D!
OMG DFW your story about DD's hand had me cringing! Im surprised it didnt rip her hand off eeekkkkk .
Well the stitches are still on dont know how to be honest but they are! Shes missing swimming today because she cant get them wet, not much we can do about that though!
Im so pleased about the giftcard too.

Well yesterday turned into quite a spendy day! We went to BnQ and spent £115 on things to complete the kitchen. Thats quite cheap as if we had gone to the actual kitchen supplier its about £300 just for one cupboard! They do a range at BnQ which is different but exactly the same colour and we only needed sidepanels plus weve bought a wine rack to finish it off to :D. They will be in store in about a week so then DH can finish it off... finally! We only knocked the wall down in October fgs!!

My GHD's have broken aswell! Il do without them for now as ive got no nights out planned and put it up mostly anyway. Apparently you can get them fixed so I might try that. I have had them 8 years though so cant complain!

Then we ended up with new phones !! We used to be on PAYG but the phones so expensive nowadays its cheaper to get them free and pay per month, versus paying for the phone and then topping up per month. Ive got a lovely shiny iphone :D, I really like it! Just currently going through my contacts and adding them into my hotmail account so that if it wipes itself like ive seen people on facebook complaining about ive got all my contacts at least! Thats going to be a shock to the system though, paying for 2 phone contracts! I get unlimited everything so shouldnt go over my monthly amount. I need to ring up o2 for my pac code to take my number with me.

So today, DH is off to the pub to watch the football and me and the girls need to pop to town to buy my dads birthday present and then go drop it off.

Think thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xx

Ohhh a shiney new iphone, I love mine. Enjoy it!

Oh dear to the GHDs breaking, I'm afraid if mine broke I would have to replace them immediately even if it meant I didn't eat for a month. My hairs got a few kinks, waves in it and it looks awful unless its straightened.

Hopefully my DH will stay away from the pub to watch the footy later, I don't think theres much chance of that seeing as though its his favourite team playing in a derby.

    Have a good day xx
  • Ahh you've made me feel so much better about my spendy days now ;) I feel guilty for spending anything these days lol. I've got a new phone as I thought exactly the same as you. PAYG phones are so dear now for even a half decent one (and my BB broke last year so it had to be replaced) so i got a contract and a free samsung galaxy sIII i love it :)

Oh and as for my dd hand i was surprised she wasn't missing something  I should have complained really but I was in shock for a good few weeks afterwards!!

    Morning Diary,

What an absolutely glorious few days weve had , looked for a sunshine smiley but this was the best I could do :rotfl:!!!

Choo, I lmao at you saying you wouldnt eat for a month if your GHD's broke! I do wear it up most of the time so it doesnt matter for me as long as I dont have a night out planned!!

DFW, love that it makes you feel better that I have gone and done the same re the phones :D. I really didnt want to pay out but like you say the phones are sooo expensive nowadays. DH's justification was that we work full time and work hard so why shouldnt we have something nice. I still feel uneasy about spending all that a month but hey ho its done now!

So yesterday was beautiful weather and youll be pleased to know I got 3 loads dry! We went off to the garden centre and spent £33 on a new washing line (the one that retracts), grass seed as this winter has killed off our grass, compost and weed and feed. Weve been looking for something nice for our front garden for a while as it doesnt get much sun and gets very boggy round there. Well we found it yesterday in the range! Its a feature made from yorkshire stone, with a circle thing in the middle and then square edging round. It would fit perfectly in our front and then we could just fill the edges in with pebbles so that the whole thing isnt pebbles and effectively a cat litter tray! Its £110, but thats not too bad I dont think . Were now hoping the MOT doesnt cost too much so we can use the rest of the money to do this!!!

So today, what good things have I done! Pegged out :A, parked in the free car park saving myself £2.50 and getting some exercise.
Tonight no doubt the kids will want an icecream, I usually let them have 1 a week from the icecream van as this is the only day hes there when I pick up.
Were having fahitas for tea and ive brought some leftover soup and cheese and onion pasty for my lunch.
Then ive got a meeting 6-7 at school re the latest ofsted report. So quite a busy old day really.

    Hope everyones ok xx

    Morning Diary,

Working from home today :D. So the weather has done as predicted and is super overcast again! Luckily most of my washing has been done but im sure I could have found some had it been nice!

So yesterday the ice cream van wasnt there so the kids had one from the freezer saving me £2!
I did pop to the butchers on the way home and buy 1 chicken breast and 1 piece of steak as I had odd bits in the freezer so thats another 2 meals! So last night I made fahitas, which DH got 2 portions for lunches and also reggae chicken for Friday which I have frozen. Its essentially the same meal with different sauces! Tonight is steak in peppercorn sauce, probably my favourite meal.

Im hoping today will be NSD1, no plans to spend anything.

Think thats all from me! Hope everyones ok xx
