    Hello Diary,

Popping in for my daily catch up. The weather is absolutely pants here today, really rainy and dark! Heating has been turned on for 2 hours!

Well tonight DH and I have had a discussion about the shopping budget, taking money from the joint account to cover shopping and then decided the budget needs to be upped! Im glad weve made a decision on something but hate talking about money as it always ends up with him p!ssing me off! DH's mood about having no money has rubbed off on me and now im sick of having no money too!

Well its 7 days tomorrow until payday :T. It can not come quick enough I can tell you. Im going to have to put more petrol in the car tomorrow or Friday aswell. Will things ever get any easier?!

Thanks for popping by Alice and Choo :D.

Well ive got a load of whites that I need to go put in, bath the kids and then sort mine and DH's tea. Trying something new tonight chicken stuffed with sundried tomatoes, roast potatoes and rataouille (sp!). Hope its nice.

Also got another job application to look over aswell, will look over that shortly.

Think thats about all from me! Catch up soon xx

  • Tea sounds good might have to pinch the sundried tomatoes idea, we are also having chicken but in a wine and mushroom sauce, rice and roasted veg.

Good luck with the job application, hate filling them in.

hi mummy, can I just applaud you for how much you have paid off already? Nice one.

I was interested in your comment about tea time, do you eat differently from your children? I only wondered because this must add a cost in to the food budget. My DS's are 10 and 8 and they eat the same as us and always have....

Yeah to getting the food budget upped. Food prices have gone up so much this year, that even with all the 'deals' the supermarkets do, groceries will still be higher than this time last year...

    Evening diary,

Glad to be home this miserable weather is making me want to hibernate!

Pennywise, the chicken would have been nice had I liked the sundried tomato! Never had it before and it reminded me of a massive raisin in the chicken :rotfl:. Oohh I could gip thinking about it! I would have much rather had your tea!!

Chev, we all eat together other than Wednesdays and Friday when DD1 eats at the childminders and DD2 eats at MIL's. I always try and get the best meals for my money but feels like its getting harder and harder to achieve.

Well nothing too exciting to reprot! Weve had sausage, mash, veg and yorkshire puddings for tea and it was delicious. DH is just on with a curry for tomorrow nights tea.

Cant believe its Friday again tomorrow, will be May before we know it  xx

    Hello diary,

Just popping in for a quick catch up! DH and I are out tonight at his brothers party. Wont be drinking as we cant afford it! My dad is coming over to babysit and bringing along his new girlfriend! Feeling a bit nervous really . He was with exwife for 25 years so it will seem odd seeing him with someone else!

Hmm what to report. This morning since dads new gf is coming over I flew round the house tidying up! Tonight il hoover polish and put bleach down the toilets :rotfl:. Then ive got to get myself ready and kids bathed and ready for bed all in just over an hour. Being ambitious much?!

Ooohhh pennywise I totally love cheese toasties, but my DH has put out toastie machine in the loft. Might have to tell him to get it back down!

Payday in 6 days, hurry up 6 days! Luckily tax credits goes in Monday so that will see us through with a bit of shopping and probably more petrol.

Well this weekend the girls have a party tomorrow, so thats them fed there. Sunday we are going to a friends so thats lunch there too :money:.

Dont think ive anything else to report! Catch up soon xx

  • Hope you have a good night out.

Cheese and ham toasties are a favourite in our house. We have only recently started to use the sandwhich toaster again. I find it a great way to use the ends of the loaf or cheese which is past its best.

And I agree with everyone on how much food has gone up and have you noticed how they are reducing the amount you get for you money!!! xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Thanks for popping in Alice! Had an ok night! Tbh for the 2nd time this year ive gone out and felt really out of place! Im not the trendiest person but do try and keep up in my own way but recently feel totally old when I see teeny boppers in their skimpy outfits . Im not even 30 yet, theres no hope for me is there :rotfl:!! Didnt spend much anyway and we managed to get away at a reasonable time.

Well in other news Dads gf seemed nice but I didnt get chance to speak to her much as I dashed out! Managed to get everything done that I needed to and now the living room is so untidy again!

My mum called me last night to ask if I could work in her shop this morning. That was a little bit of money there which has more or less on in BIL's card and a few bits in Mr T expr. I walked over so that was some exercise too.

Kids have been to the party and are now buzzing round on E numbers! Dont think they will be needing any tea put it that way.

Right off to see if theres any surveys to do. Catch up soon x
