  • Afternoon diary,

Well thats stay and play, the post office with ebay parcels, lunch, recycling and chocolate brownies... done!
Thats all our activities for the day done now, chill time! Well actually this floor and downstairs could do with a hoover but may aswell do those later on once the kids are ready for bed and toys are away.

Seems everyone is in favour of Spring, not long now!

Itsa, we used exactly the same number of units of gas both ways!! So at least I know when its freezing outside to just stick it on constant and not bother with the odd hour here and there and freezing inbetween!

Right kids watching Phineas and Ferb so will just catch up on some surveys. Hope the kids arent driving you all mad already!!! xx

  • Morning diary,

    Happy Valentines day :D!!

Full day at work today boooooo!!!! I had the most restless sleep last night and found it incredibly hard to get my @ss out of bed this morning. I hadnt even done my hair as DH was getting the kids in the car!!!

I was very MSE this year and made DH a card at stay and play yesterday :money:. He surprised me with 12 red roses and 2 cards!! He always out does me!!!!

Yesterday was NSD5, im going to aim for 10 this month which I think should be do-able.
Today however wont be, we need wraps for our fahitas this evening and also milk. Will pop to the local Mr S at lunch time and get those.

Yesterday afternoon I went through mine and DD2's wardrobe and threw out a few bits and also salvaged a few bits for ebay. Might list those tonight to end Sunday. I also wrote a list of what we all need for Spring/Summer so can start buying bits and bobs when weve got a little more money at the end of March.

Right best get on! Catch up soon xx

Nice to see that there are some romantic men out there. I got zilch. Interesting about the heating, you would have thought there would have been some difference. Something to file away for future reference.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • I'm with Chev, I got nothing, although he hot footed it out to work this morning and said he needed to get to work for a meeting and could we do valentines later - personally I read this that he has forgotten :rotfl:

Although on another note, we don't actually "do" valentines, we just exchange cards and that is that. I have always told him that I think it is shocking that people are only expected to be romantic one day per year.... tut tut tut, I think you should be romantic all the time and I think it is extortionate that flowers quadrouple in price for one day out of the year.:p
    Just keep swimming!
  • Aw, how lovely of DH.

This year I bought my self pressies and I am not expecting anything from anyone...at least I can't be dissapointed (well thats what I tell myself).

My fuel bill is down by 17% this year compared to last January. We were in the house nearly every day as DD was off nursery so the only thing I can think it that I have the heating on timed now and not constant. I am sure I read it some where on here that even pressing the Advance button all the time was cheaper than constant. Just goes to show, what works for one may not work for another.

    Have a lovely day xx

  • Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your messages. We are very hit and miss with Valentines, usually its a card and thats all!! He was obviously feeling romantic this year :rotfl:!!! In the 12 years weve been together weve probably celebrated about 3 times!

Well porridge for me for lunch, not much in anyway and I quite like it. Also brought plenty of fruit in to keep me going and theres mini rolls in the kitchen at work. Ive had one already, might aswell eat the snacks here and save mine :o!!!

Just popped out to Mr S and spent £2.37 on milk and wraps for tonights tea. Tomorrow should be NSD6. Taking the kids swimming, will take them snacks for after and have everything in for tea.

    Nothing else to report! xx

  • Morning diary,

Just popping in for a quick catch up. Nothing really to report, checked on the bank accounts nothings changed there.

The paypal money has gone in today and this will pay for this weeks shopping. Roll on end of March when we will have more money, totally sick of having to dip into the joint account all the time.

So today was meant to be a NSD but I need to buy DD2 some more cough medicine as we have run out. She was up all night coughing her little head off. She seems pretty bright this morning. So this cant be helped but cant count it as a NSD! Very tired today though!

After lunch im going to take these 2 swimming using up DD1's funswims.
Before that though I need to put some washing in and tidy up etc.

    Catch up soon everyone xx

  • Hi Mummy,

Have you tried the honey and lemon cough medicine in Boots, its the same as tixylix but half the price. My DD has always got a cough and to be honest nothing works that well, but this seems to soothe it for a little while.

    Have a lovely day

  • Aha today will be a NSD no 6!!! Found some cough medicine in the cupboard which I forgot I had to be honest and over 1's can take it so will be using that up before running to the shops to buy more.

Thanks for the info Livvy, il bear that in mind for next time. I always buy Boots or supermarkets own medicine anyway so may well have bought this!!

Tidied 2 floors and were all dressed and ready to go. Just need to hoover the bottom floor and will then be coming back to a nice tidy house. But for how long, that is the question!!!

Homemade beef pie leftover from leftover beef tonight along with mash and veg.

Right best get on! Catch up soon xx
