Aw I am sorry DD is poorly, I am sure its the cold weather...roll on summer. My boss said to me once that kids will be ill from the moment the clocks go back until they go forward. He was so right.

We didn't get any snow (thank god), but the sky is looking very black.

Have you got any plans for next week with the girls?

Hi Livvy,

Thanks for popping in. DD is ok now shes not been sick since last night. She did wake up with a temperature but again shes been fine all day.

Re next week, im working Tues, Thurs and Friday.
Plan for Monday is to go to stay and play in the morning which is free at the nursery part of the school where DD1 goes. They also get a free snack which is usually fruit and bread sticks.
In the afternoon ive got a chocolate brownie mix from Mr T where you just add water so we will bake those straight after lunch then probably chill out until DH returns home.
Wednesday will probably be swimming. When DD takes a holiday from swimming we get something called a funswim. They open specially in the holidays and you can use them then. Again weve already paid so thats another freebie activity!

Are you working?

Well nothing too exciting to report! Have managed to get 2 loads washed and dried today and most of it ironed and put away.
Tea is pizza and garlic bread so after weve had that I will get the girls tidying up the living room as it looks a bomb site.

Aw the girls will love all those fun things, and you get free food which is great. Yes I am working as DD is at nursery full time (inc hols) until July...we have paid the full amount until then with our free 15 hours a week.

Next year I will have to sort the holidays out some how, all of my hols will be taken up in the school hols but I don't get enough to cover the lot. Don't really want to rely on OH and his family.

OMG so glad the girls are in bed, they have driven me mad this last hour whinging, arguing etc! All I asked them to do was tidy the living room whilst I cleaned the bathroom!! You would have thought id asked them to climb mount Everest haha!!

Anyway ive managed to get the first and second floors done including stairs and bathrooms. So tomorrow morning il have a whip round the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs and it should stay tidy.

I was annoyed earlier, got my first cr*wdology survey since July 2010 and they wiped all my old points argh! Luckily it was only £1.60 worth and they will send me more surveys now.

Got more bids on ebay stuff woohoo!! Lots of watchers but still not expecting mega bucks. Anything better than nothing though.

Tomorrows plan is to take DD1 to her swimming lesson, DD2 will come too and il take them a sandwich for the car. Then im dropping them straight at my mums whos taking them to a Valentines disco at the Church Hall which leaves me a couple of hours to myself. DH will be at home making his onion bhajis hes just been given the recipe for to accompany our curry (homemade) also by DH. So should be a NSD tomorrow too.

Sunday kids have got a birthday party and need to buy burger buns as we are having a go at making our own burgers we saw on Bakers boys programme. So that will be a spend today.

Hi mummy, sorry to hear DD was unwell in the night. I hope she is feeling better tonight.

I always feel a really bad mother at half term etc. because I normally manage to get someone to look after her whilst I am at work but find it tough to keep a balance and seem to spend most of it trying to juggle work, housework, walking dogs etc. DD seems to get bored as hell as an only child.

I have forgotten what it is like to have a tidy house.....

Afternoon diary,

Nothing too exciting to report from here, just got in from a kids party so thats the kids fed!! They are just enjoying their party bags at the mo.

We are doing a little experiment with the heating today to see how many units we have used with it on constant at a lower temp vs yesterday having it on timer and then switching it on the odd hour. I cant see how it would be cheaper constantly but just need to see anyway. To be honest this house is red hot so I dont think I could cope with it constant anyway!!!

Itsa, im sure you do your best, it is hard juggling everything.

DH has done the ironing whilst ive been out so thats that done.

Good Morning diary,

Well it seems a bit milder today, roll on Spring though!!

Just done the meter readings for the fortnight and we have used a lot, £67 for both, so we are now £63 in credit with another 2 and a bit weeks to go. I feel annoyed at the amount but then I have to remind myself weve had a very cold spell with 2 lots of snow! Hope thats the end of that now and we can start using a bit less and build up a credit again.

3 out of 4 items sold on ebay, so going to get those packaged up to post this morning. The thing that didnt sell has now been relisted and we will see what happens. £17 just transferred from the paypal to the bank. This will probably pay for this weeks shopping as the shopping budget has now all gone.

Today will be a NSD, dont count the parcels as the buyer paid for that. Yesterday was also a NSD.

Ive sorted out 2 wash loads for today and downstairs needs the recycling etc putting out. Taking the kids to stay and play at the nursery so will do all these jobs this afternoon whilst they mix up their brownies.

How did you get on with your experiment about whether you use more having it on constantly at a lower temp or on timer and boosting as and when?

Morning mummy, i agree that it seems a bit milder today, hopefully spring is just around the corner and we can start hanging washing outside, i'm so sick of being cold.
