  • I have done 4 loads so far this week all of which have gone in the TD. Usually I do far more washes than that, maybe I just wash for the sake of pegging out when I actually dont need to !!

:O FOUR LOADS!! That is really putting me to shame!! LOL I think I have about four loads to go and do (which I should be doing in stead of sitting on here but need to catch up on my mse!)

I am slightly envious that you have a TD btw, I don't have one! I think thats my excuse for not washing when its rubbish weather, no where to dry it really!

Thats great news that your OH has got a better job with better pennies, it all helps!

Hope you are not feeling too yucky with the cold, talk soon! x
  • Afternoon diary, absolutely shattered here today!! Went to bed at 8pm last night to watch xfactor... dont remember much of it at all! Slept until 7.30 this morning and still tired. Hope im not coming down with something.

Yesterday was NSD6 woohoo!!! Im going to try and have as many NSD as possible this month.

Well today ive had 1.5 loads dry on the line... then it started raining. Ironed most things and got DD's uniform and clothes out for tomorrow.
Chicken has been roasted for sandwiches and we have braising steak in the oven as we speak.
The girls picked some blackberries at mums yesterday so im going to let them make a crumble for afters. Todays spends 82p on crumble mix from Tesco. Must research making it from scratch.

CwC, I dont know how id get the washing dry at times like these. Its not cold enough for the heating but bleeding raining all the time so you cant peg out . I do try peg out on a weekend when im home though!!

Right just going to do the meter readings... back shortly! xx

  • Meter readings done..

£30.97 for the fortnight so gone up slightly which im putting down to the TD. £114 in credit which is building up nicely for winter now.

Another wash load has just finished so ive pegged that it since its stopped raining. Even it knocks 30 mins off the TD time it will be worth it. Blowing a right gale here today! xx

  • Oooh home-made crumble is one of my favourite things! To make the topping I just use 8 tablespoons of caster sugar, 4oz butter, 6oz of flour and you just "pinch" the butter through the sugar and flour until it goes like a bread-crumbs consistency - deeeeeelicious!

I've just put out washing too and as if by magic, the rain has started! Am leaving it out as I think its a passing shower, and its really warm even tho its dull so hoping it drys. Got another load in as we speak but that will have to go on the clothes horse I think!

I guess every few minutes off the tumble dryer time is a bonus! :)
  • Thanks for the recipe CwC, will try that next time.

Im just about to go prep the veg and im going to let the girls make the crumbles. All they need to do is put the fruit at the bottom and crumble on top but it will occupy them for 20 mins of so! Plus since we get 2 out of it im going to freeze one :money:!

Heres to the washing being dry xx

  • Hope your crumble was yummy! Its great how "helping" in the kitchen occupies the little ones for a while! How old are your girls? My DD is 4 and loves getting stuck in in the kitchen!

Fingers crossed you got your washing dry. I took mine in half an hour ago as the rain came on but it will be dry by morning, just needs overnight on the dryer to make sure, then its the dreaded ironing pile for me tomorrow!

Hope you have a good week!

  • Morning diary, very windy and rainy here today! Just realised my diary is turning into a weather report :rotfl:!!!

CwC, the washing almost dried just needed about 25 mins in the TD :T. Ive caught up now so need to iron it all, just the downside isnt it. The crumble was absolutely delicious!!

Well just checked bank accounts, everything ok there. Payday 2 weeks today, cant wait to get my figure down even more. DH leaves work Friday, I really cant wait for him to leave he is so miserable I could slap him at times! Hoping the move back will make him happier !!!!!! cos if it doesnt il scream!

DD stays for lunch today, so ive put her lunch together. Ive sent her a sandwich, school bar, banana and frube. Doesnt look like a lot but in actual fact I would never give her all that at lunch time! I pick her up after lunch so if she is a little hungry she can have another snack mid afternoon. I think the school provide a snack mid morning so she should be ok.

Just checked no toluna or quidco. Theres an app for quidco now, might have to add that to my phone and I can obsess a bit more!!

Think thats about all from me. Hope everyones ok xx

  • Morning diary,

Gap ive still got a blocked nose :(, at least my nose is not streaming like a tap!

The weather is bad again today, hope it goes away soon!!

Nothing to report from here really. Mega busy at work this week. DH caught up with the ironing last night so ive to put it away this morning.

Still havent felt like putting the heating on, which is only a good thing!! I do want to keep it off until 1st October or longer if possible and that just makes it easier.

    Right best get on xx

  • Mummy I have got a blocked nose too  I have an ulcer that is really really sore and angry and have had it for nearly a week!

I managed to wash the bedding yesterday and line dry it, but there were times when I thought it would fly away and I would have to go and retrieve it from neighbours gardens :o
    Just keep swimming!
