Managed to pick 4 up in my local Tesco & they had quite a lot of the smoked left. OH not keen on the smoked.

I don't know what it is but I know a rhyme about it -

Pease pudding hot, pease pudding cold,
Pease pudding in the pot - nine days old.
Some like it hot, some like it cold,
Some like it in the pot - nine days old.

I don't know what it is but I remember learning to play it on the recorder!!

My daughter phoned when I was cooking, thought it would be awful because I was boiling it.
She came over later & tried some of what was left.
Said it was so nice could I make it the next time they come for tea.

I have tried cooking these in the slow cooker before but I think I have cooked them for too long, about 8 hours on low.

Can someone please tell me what they cook it on if only cooking for 4 hours, high or low?

    Ta.

Can anyone answer this??? I'd like to know too. Don't seem to have any luck with my slow cooker but will not give up. Would love to try what's been suggested with this joint. My S.C has low, high and auto.

    Thanks x

Last time I did one it was in for about 5 hours on high, came out perfect. If it is a "formed" one make sure you keep the inner plastic casing on and leave to cool before carving to prevent it falling apart.
