sandy71- How far oop are ya going?

Had a busy afternoon here, was absolutely glorious outside….so why was I inside? Got the techie woes sorted, well almost. The chilli was excellent, only ever make it in the SC now, did two loads of laundry, ran the hoover round, finished off the dough and got a loaf and some rolls made - so a nsd - then got the food processor out to shred cabbage, carrot and onion for the coleslaw. Did up the dressing for that and also washed dishes. And more dishes. And a few more dishes. Love cooking and baking but just wish I could have a flunky or two to follow behind me cleaning up!

Now on my first sit down since lunchtime, with a coffee and enjoying it waaayyy too much. Should be checking the cupboards & freezer to prepare for next weeks menu, but may just put it off until tomorrow . . . . .

Good evening all, feeling a bit fragile at the moment .Morning started well with my DGD phoning me frantically for a lift as she had missed her bus to placement,so being a good old Granny I toddled round and took her, after dropping her off I went to get my shopping from Mr Ts .Took all my money off coupons that I had collected and managed to get nearly a fiver knocked off the bill.Got back home and took all the shoping indoors and thought Oh its tuesady rubbish men day and took my minute bag of rubbish out and on the way back indoors caught my foot and went headlong onto the steps.Bit shaken up but not too badly hurt, apart from a tiny cut on my bad arm, the one with lyphodema in.
It has been leaking all day with lymphatic fluid which is a bit of a nuisance, and I have just got back from the breast care clinic and it has been strapped up tight and hopfully it will stop by tomorrow. If there appears to be any infection then I'll have to get antibiotics from the Drs.Blasted nuisance really as its stopped me from knitting tonight as I am suppossed to keep it elevated. One of the joys of getting old I suppose you don't bounce as well as you once did.
I feel a bit like I've been run over by a truck at the moment so I am going to have some dinner and a large G&T (for medicinal puposes only of course;)) Apart from that its not been too bad a day.weather is gorgeous if a bit windy but spring looks like its definitely on the way. Hope everyone has had a good day, I'm off to have my dinner now I have got a nice piece of steak and cheesy mashed potato's and sauteed asparagus (y/s insainsbobs last night to 20p:jbargain)foloowed by a large gordons to cheer my up and relieve my aches and pains a bit ,far nicer than any Anadins:)
Take care all and have a good evening Holby tonight one of my favourites

Just had our supper, really en joyed it, macaroni cheese, bakes tomato and jacket spud, followed by plum crumble, enough crumble left for tomorrow....

Went to the quilt group this afternoon, felt there was a bit of an atmosphere somehow, not sure what is going on, maybe its me being too sensitive.

Lovely day, only lit the fire when I got home, cjust a couple of logs should see us through until we got to bed. The central heating cut out as the fire got into its stride.......

Not sure what OH is planning to watch on TV but I am going through to my sewing room....... I cannot find the buttons for the cushion I finished yesterday, no idea what I have done with them.

I had my driving license returned to day, the photogrpah showed reflection of the flash in my glasses, apparently you need to wear your glasses to have your pohotogrpah takes if you wear them all the time, can someone tell me how you get your photo taken without the flash reflecting in your glasses????? I will have to go in search of a photographer and see what they can do. I have till the end of April to get it done, and they have the cheek to charge me £20 to put a new photo on my driving licience!!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Jackie - OUCH! That sounds like it shook you up good and proper. Enjoy your G&T's (take more water with it next time you're daytime drinking ;))

My poor knees are aching. been on my feet most of today and they are playing up now. Honestly you'd think I was a woman in her 90's with my back and my knees <rolls eyes>
Jackie and her G&T's have inspired me to have a beer :D
