Hi there! This is the Daily Thread for Tues 2st March. It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good.

Morning. Seems no one started this yet....Bit late so here tis Morning everyone.

Work today but late start at 1300 ish. Fine by me, gives me chance to make use of some daylight and start work on tidying up the place, getting my boat ready and all that good stuff.

OH is happy as got supply teaching today and Friday, so her week is full. Certainly help pay off the car loan which I want to do before Christmas.

Eating up freezer food this week. so could be some interesting combinations, but I just can't keep it in there for ever. Will need fish space soon.

Well, folks, have a good day

Morning N9eav & all to follow

Cold here this morning but yesterday was a lovely day with lots of sunshine - everyone seemed in a much better mood.

Just having a little surf on here then will go and see if DD is ok to go to school. She seems to have cold symptons but a really high temperature. DS was very happy he got his school place and seems most of his mates are going too :j

Office this morning then housework this afternoon, won't be cooking dinner and I am off to Dartford this evening to download tacho's - so will probably be KFC or McD's  (I did have this on the menu plan:o)

Ummmm, nothing else to report - off now to a look at the grabbit board - see if there are any bargains I can get for presents.

    Have a good one.x

    Good morning.

It's freezing cold & foggy here this morning  but it was lovely here too yesterday so it feels like spring is coming.

Breakfast is weetabix & bananas, lunch is a sandwich & fruit and I'm doing a sweet & sour chicken with rice for tea. I'll make it soon then put it in the fridge until I get home later. An almost ready meal ;)

Nothing else really to report. Love to everyone & hope that all the poorlies are getting better xxx

Hi everyone i think I've joined the ill brigade. Spent most of the night awake, freezing cold but sweating buckets, my throat is sore and i feel like going back under the duvet!

Run my own business though and we're taking about having to make redundancies so going in and there problems are worse than mine. I'm so stressed with work and what is happening that i think thats why i keep getting ill all the time

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday to Dazi :bdaycake:Have a great day xx

Cold and frosty here again, but yesterday was a lovely spring like day, I had all the windows open, and later on took little dog out for a long walk.

I also made a sticky ginger cake, and a victoria sponge cake, I also noticed that I have run out of hm jam, I only have grape jelly left, so I will have to get on and make some soon.

I am off to work today, its still very busy, so I am doing an extra day, I have just taken some lame neck filltet out of the freezer, will roast it tonight with garlic, and have it with cous cous, and some kind of corgetts / tomato mixture. I have taken a quorn curry out for dd. My two week shopping is still going very well, have worked out a food plan to make it last 3 weeks :T, I needed salad bits yesterday, spent £5, so doing really well.

Congratulations to Stef on becoming a nanny, what have they caller her ?

Good Luck for pennys ds, and all those taking exams x

    Have good days all xx

Good Morning All! Wasn't yesterday lovely? Dried all my washing (including towels) outside on the line - first time this year, I think.
Positive vibes heading to all those taking Maths today...
DS had first interview in nearly a year of being out of work yesterday, but didn't feel it had gone very well. Really hope his luck improves soon.
Have a busy day today with meetings plus tutoring at the end of the day, so won't be at home much. Need to fit in a dog walk tho.
Take care and hope you all have a good day.
