Morning hypno:)
I wont be buying anything extra between now and new year. I have a very tight budget for the remaining time. Trying everyday to reduce my spend on everything. I do have lots of plans for next year though:D A new sofa as mine very old one now has a hole in it! Also finishing the childrens rooms (new beds for DS1 and DD) A new washing machine as mine is almost dead poor thing! Some of this money will come from extra earnings from ebay, the rest will be cashback and shopping around of course!
You are doing really well too! Keep watching your signature and seeing it come down! Oh to be debt free!November NSD's - 70 -
I am sure that next year you will get all of those things, and more!
my sig is definitely heading in the right direction - although the last stretch of the road feels awfully long!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning:)
Banking and spreadsheets done and everything looking good.
Had a nice chill out day yesterday and managed NSD number 10! Hoping for number 11 today.
Just a couple of DD's out of the bank this morning which I dont count towards my daily spends. Only 6 days left of October...where does the time go?
Have now made a proper start on 2011 budget. Having tracked every single penny in a spending diary for the last month, something which I will continue to do for the foreseeable, I have a list of where my money goes. Tracking November and December will give me the figures I need to set out an accurate budget for next year. This is really helpful. I know that November and December are expensive months due to christmas but looking over my list of planned expenses for next year I can see that pretty much every month has its expensive side (July/August: school uniform and winter clothing, April: water bill due, May: tv licence due, March/October: tons of birthdays) So I think it will balance itself over the year.
Once I have paid my dad back (end December) I will feel a bit happier and will be able to concentrate on the credit card.
Have a good day all xNovember NSD's - 70 -
I think that is the only way forward for me......to try and log every single penny I spend.
In fact, I hereby commit to doing so with effect from 1st December (the start of my "new year"). My aim is that by the end of the year I will have a realistic and workable idea of my true needs, wants, and wastages!
If I can be as successful as you are in it, then I will be more than happy!!!! Thank you for the inspiration xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hypno - i will say that this has been very useful for me, it also has a habit of reducing spends overall as a byproduct of just doing it! Also, I don't use a fancy spreadsheet for it or anything, just a cheap notebook (wilko's) and a pencil:DNovember NSD's - 70

Morning all:)
Back to waking up at 5am again this morning! My body does obviously not realise it is half term!!
Banking done, just waiting for those last few direct debits to come out over the next few days, although none out today.
NSD number 11 yesterday so all good, just one to go. It's easy when you stay at home all day:D
Will be nipping to Tesco for some milk and bread tomorrow as ex is coming over to look after kids for me. Have £16.37 left out of grocery money, I will not spend all of this as I hardly need anything. Hoping to drop to £270 per month from next months challenge although I think that will be the lowest I could survive on without feeling the pinch hard!
Nothing much else to report, have a great day all!November NSD's - 70
