Hi Ann - my aren't you doing well - the difference between the timid worried creature who posted way back at the start to the more confident empowered woman you are now - and all those friends you have now keeping you going - this really is what MSE is about - a community who looks after each other through thick and thin - sharing the good times and the bad - and lifting the shadows so you see the light

What you have to remember is this has not only changd your life - it has changed others too - just look at SavingWanabee !!!!!!! It links people who would never otherwise have met

I have been reading your thread since the very first post and did contribute in the early days but sorry to say, since NID got involved, I have read, smiled, cried, laughed, and cheered with you but not posted. I knew you were in the safest of hands with NID - he is an angel but also a likkle divil - you definitely want him on your side not against you!!!

He is watching his beloved Rangers tomorrow - if they win they clinch their 53rd Scottish League Title - so NID might have quite a hangover when he gets back!!!!! PS Rangers play in blue

I really do appreciate those comments.

Don't always feel empowered but I do feel I am in safe (and very capable) hands with NID.

I have to confess my total ignorance about Rangers and football - but I really hope that they do well. NID deserves a hangover after all the work he has done - not just for me, but for others as well!

Have to admit that Moocow's comments did make me feel better. I am sure that the banks have had their pound of flesh from me over the years - except they won't see it that way, of course!

Hello all,

Just come back from the supermarket. Did a fantastic shop lots of own brand products and i spent £21.56. PS This included a couple of large bags of sweets and choccies for my students! It is half what i used to pay. I feel really clever looking for own brands as they are harder to find than premium brands but, as i am learning, such good value with very little difference in taste.

Everyone is wearing summer clothes down here to enjoy the glorious weather. My giant supermarket had run out of my icecream!!! That's how warm it is in Hampshire!

I have made an executive decision. I am not doing any inspection work till later as i want to enjoy the sunshine!!!! This is a real change for me.

Thanks 3dogs, now we know Rangers wear blue and also that they are a v good team. I meant to ask the taxi driver who they were playing but i forgot!

Now i vote we all go into the garden and work on our tans! Make sure you wear sunblock. I am asian and even i get sunburnt. Must have been because i grew up in Birmingham!!!!

Congratulations on your shop. I have alo started looking for cheaper brands and being very careful what I buy - and, more important, that I don't buy anything I am not going to eat!

It isn't quite so nice here - you must be getting our share of the sun!

Rangers are playing Hibernian tomorrow, Rangers in blue, Hibernian in green. If Rangers win, they will have won the league or something............. Sorry more of a rugby person, don't know much about football but just asked the other half.
