Hello everyone,
Glad that you are all getting on so well with each other!
Nothing really to report from here. Am going to watch some telly in a bit - son has Sky with HD - trouble is, programmes are still rubbish!
Also, the dog is NOT allowed in the sitting room! And being a big old labrador, her hairs would sort of give the game away! And as grandma is the only one in the house it doesn't need Hercule Poirot to work out who let her in there! (Actually, she did creep in this afternoon while I was reading the paper but I managed to get her out quite quickly! Will hoover up the hairs before son and family get back - wonder if I'll break the hoover?) I do feel so guilt watching telly when I know dog is in the kitchen or utility room. Although she does have a great big basket there with her own duvet, so she is hardly badly done by! I like cuddling her though! Thankfully, she doesn't even attempt to go upstairs - think if she did that I would be banned for life!
And thanks for all the advice re the iron. Have got most of it off - am going to try some of that stuff from the supermarket tomorrow.
Son has just phoned to say that they have arrived safely and to check everything is OK with me. Of course, I said it was - the iron episode is hardly a catatrosphe!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

Evening all, nice to see all still nutty as fruitcakes and I LOVE fruitcake, especially what my mum calls a smather cake, whatever is in the cupboard goes in.
Have had really busy weekends recently so having a chillout one now, yippee nto getting up for work tomorrow. Had a mixed time so far, my brother came and brought the last 2 tarts the baker had, then complained when I said I had biscuits as he would have saved the money, very MSE! Then sadly heard that my friends mum died on Friday, she had been ill so it is probably a relief, but is still a shock.
Glad everyone seems ok, SW, the thought of Mr Neighbour coming to the door did make me laugh out loud, which of you was the more embarassed?
Currently in my jim jams, thinking about going to bed to catch up on recorded programmes, or would that be a bit selfish as it is a lovely evening?A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Me, utterly mortified, would have been great if they had been big knickers but they were almost non existant. He knows what i wear. Luckily he and wife are really nice or i would be totally freaked.

Hi everyone,
Have given up on the telly - after watching about a hour's worth of rolling news, with nothing much happening!
Have decided to go to bed with my book - after settling down the dog for the night.

Hello
I'm just popping in to say I LOVE this thread, it's so uplifting to see how many people there are out there willing to help and support others. It's fabulous to see the transformation from a scared, apologetic person to someone enjoying themselves and having formed lots of lovely friendships. Hats off to MSE!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0
