    Thanks SW,

Will call in at Tesci tomorrow!

Have found ulohan identical iron on Argos website - but I bet she'd notice the difference! Much better if I can clean it and she will never know any better!

And a lot cheaper too I should think. BTW is Tesci the pluaral of Tesco hehehe

No, Moneypenny - just my rubbish typing!

But, you are obviously clasically educated - as evidenced by your signature!

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the help and advice. I haven't been working on the iron all afternoon!

Have tried to scrape some of the stuff off - am going to visit Tesco (apologies for the previous typo and the advert - it is the nearest supermarket) and hope that the stuff recommended by SW does the trick!

Will report back on the result - but you all can't wait to hear!

    Thanks Jen,

    I actually hate it!

Was trying to be helpful - now wishing I hadn't bothered. And I could certainly do with a hand ....

oh bless you Ann, i am sending you a HUGE virtual Hug, Dont worry. Follow George's advice. It looks a bit complicated but similar to what Jinny said. I reckon you should have a break today and follow it tomorrow. But what on earth is wax paper????

my stuff cost £2 i think from the supermarket and it scraped plastic off.

I keep falling asleep. Am cooking a healthy stir fry at the moment. vvv low blood sugars have eaten a lot of fruit today. Am starving. Being healthy is horrid but i have had 4 choccy biscuits as bloods are so low.
