Di i hope your father is ok and you had a good afternoon.
I tidied for a while well kitchen is tidy. Notes are everywhere!!! Too scared to throw anything away by mistake. Then watched a rubbish dinosaur film on tv.
Hi SW
And thank you.;)
Dad have settled down very well, its a lovely Care Home, he was in a dementia unit for about 7 months before that, he was coming home to be with mum at first, but they said dad required specialised care, also due to many health issues, and best off in an EMI care home.
Its nice to see him settled now again though, he is now 69 and mum and dad have not long celebrated their 50 Golden Wedding Anniversary.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
oh gosh. A very difficult time for all of you. He is so young. It must be very frightening for your poor mum. My dear friend went through this with her father very recently. We are all friends on here. And we are all nice, if you ever need to talk we are here. You can PM us too for phone numbers. You are never alone.
Nasty troll people are few and far between. We must not let them upset us.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Thank you again SW.
Yes its been very difficult.
Before dad spent 7 months in a unit, he spent almost 3 months in a general hospital..............but have spent the last 15 years going back and forth.
He has a number of med problems, too many to list, but the home where he is now has it all, even with a GP, and all well trained qualified staff.
What I did forget to mention is, between spending time in a unit and the care home he is in now, he did spend about 3 weeks in another care home but he did not settle, it was actually the 2nd choice when we all went viewing over the last few months, then the first choice care home of where he is now came up, its amazing, and about 5 miles from me.;)
Sorry to hear your friend have had to go through all this as well, I can imagine how difficult it have been for her as well.
Yes your all so great and its a real pleasure to post on here.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thanks you so much S/W, Ann, NID and everyone. I'm off now for a cycle ( gotta brush the cobwebs from the wheels first).0

I am savingwannabe. I am bonkers. i am a bit worried now as i sent Niddy an email cos i was worried about something and he may wish to shoot me as i am vvvvv stupid.
I am not actually in debt, just trying to learn to spend better so i can save to do up my house. I am 39 and an old maid. I know everyone says that but i am. I have diabetes and depression on and off, am not assertive (apart from when i am protecting my friends and this thread). I love Ann, jinny, pixie, beanielou, elsie,3 dogs and everyone on this thread as they are our friends.
Because i live on my own and am scared of people i dont go out v much so this site and this thread is amazing for me as i can pretend to be brave as the people on here are amazing.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
