What if we can take the risk or deception part out of the equation?
I know it's not as final as unenforcability, but if Pixie is on JSA, could she be eligible for a Debt Relief Order (DRO)?

The accounts that are older and possibly unenforcable, we could look through and check if they were properly executed. If they were, how much debt would this leave?

For a DRO there are certain requirements for you to qualify:

Its more than £15k mate - way more! Thus I dismissed this option. :D

No - Ann - don't be worrying. Please, don't start thinking negatively - you'll be fine! :D Yours was spent long before you utilised s.78, no case to answer if they tried to lump you with any deception charges :rotfl::rotfl:

    Bless you NID.

I was thinking more about the amounts involved and the comment made earlier about it not being worthwhile for the banks to take people to court.

But presumably this would only apply to enforceable agreements - and you would be advising me of the correct procedure before a court case became a probability?

George - I'm not eligible for a DRO - debts are £27000 and my car is worth more than £300.

    Thanks for the input though

Even though some of the older ones may be unenforcable?
I take it 2207 isn't the full list then?

Am off to bed myself, now!

IE crashed out on me so I had to log on with Firefox!

Was worried that I might miss something!

    Night all!

George - do you mean to cca the ones which are unenforceable and then go for DRO? My car is worth (slightly) more than £1000 and by September/October I will be working

That was what i thought you could do Pixiechick - the DRO lasts for 12 months.

Do you know how much your income would be?
Do you have an estimate of your expenditure?
