go and get some help loads of people are in the same boat as you and its a hell of a burden to carry by yourself i know cos is did it and am dealing with the consequences now. I have an iva and have had it for two years so three to go! i know this isnt the answer for you with you retiring but you really need to get help i rang national debt line and they where great! good luck

The DMP's etc cannot really help much when you're approaching/in pensionable age because it would mean repaying for eternity. An IVA is specialised advice and should only be given by an appropriately trained person - it can have a major impact on people and is not recommended willy-nilly.

Sorry, but what works for you does not necessarily make it right for everyone. The guys on here have a good idea what they want to do, however i'd suspect an IVA is bottom of the list of *to do's* ;)

Hehe - i'm in the pub right now! Replying on iPhone but the opportunity to respond was too great! It's the first time in ages I have gone to the pub on both days off so best get down to it and drink myself silly!

Have fun everyone, maybe back later, maybe back tomorrow - it depends on my mate Stella

Well, I just don't envy the state of your head tomorrow!

But, you are entitled to enjoy yout days off in whatever way you want!

    Make the most of it!!!

    Hi 3Dogs,

Thanks - I can't see the avi myself - I uploaded and then got an error message. Probably doing something wrong - I am sure the techie people will be along to put me right very soon! It was supposed to b a mouse plus a cup, indicating all the tea drunk by us all!

And, yes, NID does deserve it! Wonder if the long-suffering dog is with him???

    Hi Woowoo,

Think we were being particularly silly last night, which would count for all those pages stacking up!
