    Mortgage-free Glee!
Essexgirl - great news re the school allocation for your DS!
JC - words fail me! (HUGS)
Ladyshopper - my cruise was actually more OS than I'd remembered in that almost half the total cost was made up by using vouchers from Mr T's!!! You know the 4x deals! It did make a big difference! Previously we'd just used vouchers for shopping eg over Christmas, but I'd saved them for a couple of years and used them for the cruise!!

    Afternoon all

I'm absolutely shattered after today! We had fab sunny warm weather for our car wash. Washed around 30 cars, and got loads of donations too. Grand total of £180 raised :j The fire engine had to go away and refill cos we were doing so well! All the kids worked really hard, and were great :)

I'm going out for a late dinner tonight, meeting girls at 8pm for a chinese. It's the last time I'll see my friend who is over from Canada as she flies back Friday. I'm starving though so will have some toast now.

I happy cos I just booked tickets to see the Mamma Mia stage show in Cardiff next January :D

I'm away Tuesday til Friday lunchtime with work so I'll be MIA, need to pack my suitcase now before I go out.

    Have a good week all

    - Welcome Such a lovely group on here, you'll feel right at home in no time. ;)

lowesy- Glad you're feeling better, sorry you had such a bad flight home tho!

    Welcome cheeseaddict HS_BlinkieFlowerPots.gif

candygirl- Good on you, but if I sold all of my 'fat' clothes I be nekkid!

It's been a gorgeous day here, all day, which makes a change. Spent most of the morning and a bit this afternoon out on the park getting bits and bobs done before we open on the 6th. Dreading it as there goes the privacy/peace for the next 10 months! Keep trying to get BH to allow a very high wall around the van, so far I'm not getting anywhere.

Have joined the GC for the first time so hoping this helps me get a handle on what's going where grocery wise. Having SC chilli for tomorrow's dinner so need to get everything together and ready to go before bed. Doing sausage and egg baps for tea, nice quiet evening in front of the TV for soaps and then reading with something soothing playing in the background . . . need to chill

    Evening all.

I'm late today; been struggling somewhat with my Flylady list and my WiiFit+ because I'm feeling rough today, hence I'm a bit behind with everything else.

    Anyway.....

Welcome Cheese Addict and Black Narcissus.
    Happy Birthday Niclou.
    Congratulations Nana Stef.
Belated Happy Anniversary Csarina & Mr Csarina (sorry, didn't get onto MSE yesterday).
((((HUGS)))) JC - the situation seems utterly ridiculous, not to mention a complete waste of public money. I just do not understand the priorities of the "justice" system.:(

Mr LW has just phoned to say he's starting out for home; we have the 2nd half of the quiche I made yesterday for dins, and we can have some carrot'n'orange cake for pud. We were meant to attend a Mensa meeting later, but I think we'll give it a miss, I just don't feel up to socialising. There's the last Flylady task to do, which he's offered to help with, so we'll do that instead.;)

I'm sure there was something else I was going to say, but it's vacated my head for now. *confused*

Have a good evening, everyone; (((HUGS))) for those who need/want one today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

just popped back to check up on things

Bargainbird thanks for your kind thoughts it is so worrying and my poor niece was sobbing her heart out when I phoned her - they have decided to keep the baby on the ventilator after all, but as I said that's probably for the best.
I hope you feel up to eating a proper meal but like all of us who have had teeth out it will probably be something mushy.

Kadeeae ;:rotfl:I know I would be the same, and it wouldn't be a pretty sight I can tell you:rotfl:

    Welcome CheeseAddict:T

flutterby :I know of a car that needs washing! but Swansea is three hours away :rotfl: Good to know you're up to a bit of work, mind you all those Firemen would get me off of my sickbed too

JackieO : brilliant :T now you can be warm and toastie.
Dinner tonight is the Roast beef that was for last night's dinner but DH didn't fancy a roast MEN!!!!!!!!!!

A good day, got the washing dried on the line, the first day of the new routine went well, bed is now made in the guest room, wrestling with a kingsize duvet and cover was not a happy experience, but its done and the bed looks really nice. I also cleaned down the door from the hall into the boot room and cleaned the glass, all 12 panes with vinegar. Our room and the sewing room clean and tidy, hall carpet cleaned. I will have to hire a steam cleaner once the weather improves, its very dirty with footmarks from the various people who have been in and out of the house these past few weeks.

No fire lit this morning, lit it about 3.30 when the temperature started to drop.

Finished the two cushion covers I have been making, just have to sew on the buttons, can I find them??? No!!! no idea where they are, had them last week, missing today.....hey ho......they will turn up.

Stovies for supper made with corned beef, loaded with fat, but we only have them occasionally, followed by plum crumble, also cooked a loaf this afternoon so we have some HM bread to have with out lentil soup tomorrow.

Another fine day forecast, so another load of washing, quilting in the afternoon, want to check out the Tesco at North Berwick on the way home, so will be going a different way tomorrow.

OH spent the morning in his shed and went to his games afternoon at the bowls club this afternoon, another 4 points towards his total.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Before I forget

Happy Birthday nic  Sounds like a lovely lunch in a lovely day :D

(((hugs))) to Butterfly Brain , niece, baby and all. Such a shame to have all that worry, when it should just be a joyful time.

Congrats to stefejb and family :j:j Poor DD, I'd have died rather than have my step mil see my bits giving birth. ( she was a miserable old *** at her best, at her worst :eek::rotfl:) Hope she's recovering well now, that's a horrendous blood loss. She'll have been transfused, I'm assuming.

Well Spring definitely paid a visit today :T:D Glorious blue skies, sunshine, gentle breeze. The garden is full of crocus of every hue, some miniature daffs are breaking colour, and the buds are plump and ready to burst on some of the shrubs. So I spent some time in the garden, cleaned some windows, washed some curtains and really felt energised. Probably wake to grey skies and rain tomorrow, but today was lovely.

I've been at this post for ages, keep getting interrupted. Oh and there goes the dinger, time to grill the steaks for dinner. Pop back later.
