    Morning all

Off today as DS2 is back in court and I'm at hospital this afternoon. As usual I can not spend a day earning nothing so I have some MS jobs I can do.

Have some stewing steak left from yesterday so I'm going to bulk it out with potatoes and carrots and call it beef & vegetable stew...the emphasis will be on the vegetable! I will thro some lentils in to thicken it up a little.

I got DD a cooking apron on Friday....she has worn it all weekend :rotfl:

WM is on already and I need to go and dry my hair before I forget to take this towel of my head.

    Good Morning All,

Had a day charity shopping planned but woke up feeling tired and dizzy so wont be venturing out today. Will have a quiet day and do some writing.

It's nice and bright and fresh this morning and really feels like spring:j hurray! Can't wait for the warmer weather, but it always makes me think about exposing skin that has been hidden over the winter:o need to get back on my healthy eating plan.

Taplady you have inspired me too. Got all the kitchen brochures yesterday, still at the planning stage but the more I look the more jobs I can see:)

Something easy for tea out of the freezer

Have a good day everyone x

    Good Morning Everyone!
Am sneaking back, having had glorious 16 days on cruise ship visiting loads of islands in the Caribbean, with blue skies, turqouise seas, sun and warmth! Sorry! I know it's far from OS - but it's what we worked hard for all those years and why I'm still OS now! Anyway, back to earth with a bump now!
Happy Birthday Nic1lou2 :bdaycake: I hope you have a great day.
My fingers are tightly crossed for Essex Girl and all others awaiting school allocations today. Starts very early - DS and partner are desperately awaiting news to see if DGD can attend the nursery of their chosen primary school!
Diva, sorry to hear that Tris is still experiencing pain - he has had so much to put up with.
jc2703 - hope all goes well today - thinking of you.
Well, the WM is nearly finished and I need to get the BM on soon. Have loads to do today including the anniversary declutter thread - I always have tons of paper piles needing sorting!
Take care and have a great day everyone.

Morning all and a big happy birthday to Nic1Lou2 :)

Been very very AWOL the last few weeks due to life getting in the way .... but the big news is that I'm a Nana again - yay! dgd was born on the 25th at 00:25 after a 3 hour labour - both doing very well despite dd(20) losing over 3 pints of blood afterwards. She's a bit upset at the moment as her MIL turned up for the delivery despite it being made quite clear that dd had her birth partners sorted - and stayed right to the end. I did ask dd if she wanted me to tell her to go but she was a bit far gone at the time and is now feeling upset and emarassed that her MIL saw all her bits and made lots of unhelpful comments

OH came over for the weekend with an SC that looks like it's from the 70's that he and his housemate inherited somehow and don't use. It works fine and we will be having split pea soup for tea tonight courtesy of it :) We have had a big row about sugar puffs though. At 10.30 pm on saturday night his 8yo dd demanded sugar puffs and he actually went out to get them in the rain - this is typical and will probably be a big problem at the end of the month when he will possibly be moving in for a while at least. Any of mine that were still up - it being past bedtimes for most of us - stood open-mouthed!

dbro has booked a big house for the summer and bits of my family will be congregating from the UK, Canada and Holland so need to tighten belts to pay for my bit - will do a meal plan and a freezer rummage after w*rk - talking of which ...... have a great day everyone :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Happy St David's Day! Love to my late Mamma and Gramma. I always sent them daffodils today, no one to send them to now:o

:bdaycake: NicLou Hope it's a good one!

    stefejb Congratulations!!

Had a chicken pasta for dinner yesterday. Had the pork chops on Saturday instead, I was being a rebel:rotfl:

Buddy the cat is still making a mess with white hair all over the blue carpet:eek: I'm sure he does it on purpose. Just as I've cleaned it all, he rolls around!:rotfl:

Beautiful day in Hastings. Got to post an ebay parcel later. Hastings Council have banned estate agents boards along the seafront from today, so it will look nicer. About time I think!

    Have a good day all!

Good morning everyone and Happy St David's Day to all of our Welsh friends on the site.Bright and breezy and rather nippy this morning I can't wait to get my heating back on as I am a chilly mortal at the best of times and really feel the cold in my joints.I am creaking like a rusty old gate this morning.looking across the river from my window it looks really lovely as the sun is glinting on the water ,very peaceful at the moment .Luckily there not a lot of traffic on the Medway anymore but its a great place to walk along when the weather is nice.We have a Riverside Country Park locally, and its well worth a look at if you live within distance, nice place for a picnic with my grandchildren in the summer as well.
Basil has been for his breakfast and spruced his feathers and flown off till tomorrow.I think I will have some porridge for my breakfast although I'm a bit too cold to spruce my feathers just yet.I will have to put the halogens on in the bathroom first to warm the place up.
Uni tonight and all my essays are in thank goodness so I can relax for a little while.
Whilst I am stuck indoors anyway today to await the plumber I think I will declutter some drawers in the kitchen, you know the sort the 'bung it in there for the time being' sort of drawers.I am sure I shall be surprised at what I unearth.Happy Birthday to NIc1lou2 and congrats to new granny stefjb.
Well time to toddle as my fingers are begining to slow down with the cold .
take care all and have a great Monday
    Cheers JackieO xx
