I've not used anything up today, but what I realised today is that not only am I using up my stash and saving money, I'm actually using my products properly, ie regularly. I've always been a bit half hearted about using my body butter, etc and foot creams, using them for a few days and then giving up, and so haven't seen the real benefits. Now I'm making an effort and using them on a daily basis - and to be honest it was a bit of a chore at first - and I'm so pleased with the results.

I think it only actually struck home when I saw what lovely condition my feet are in at the moment. What a thing to be proud of - feet! :rotfl:

Tara, is that Body SHop hemp butter? It's fab isn't it. The lip protector is absolutely brilliant as well. Wish they hadn't stopped making the soap though.

Yes, it is the BS hemp butter, lovely stuff :)

I totally agree about the nice effects of actually using products regularly, I feel fab!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
What's amazing is seeing the back of cupboards and shelves. Getting rid of bottles that have been here forever..so long you almost don't see them...I have bottled that have moved houses with me more than 13 times! well, never again.....

Roshy, it took me about two weeks to get properly into the habit where I now automatically reach for body butter after a bath or shower. I keep my foot cream by the bed so I can put it on last thing at night, and I have a tube of handcream on my desk at work as well as one at home. That way, if they're right at hand, I'm more likely to use them.

PS I still have the odd slip up now and again, when I'm tired and just can't be bothered and I always feel guilty!

I agree with this. Always got a hand cream nearby. My new plan is to leave the body butter in the bathroom so I put it on in there instead of the bedroom. The bathroom is warmer after a bath so it's easier and nicer than trekking acroos the cold landing into the cold bedroom

Haven't finished anything today but I will have to buy myself some new moistoriser sometime this week. I'll use my boots voucher on some other bits while I'm there :)
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
  • Hello all - please may I join you for April?
I have freaked myself out with the realisation that I have made TEN Body Shop orders in a month
... some of them were amazing bargains (honest!) and as per some of the posts just above, rediscovering some of these products has made me get back into the swing of taking better care of myself - already seeing results ... but seriously ... enough is enough!:D

So I am going to work out if there is anything I will actually need through next month (my guess is nothing at all), I am off to Boots tomorrow as I have a £5 No7 voucher ... then it's cold turkey for me ...

PS - Is it weird that I am actually looking forward to doing a stock take of all my stuff?!

Oh I know. I've found some really old stuff that I didn't dare open. It's when you find something that you know has been discontinued for years or has changed packaging not once but twice that you know there's a little bit of a problem :rotfl:

I think I am going to have to do these too.
I have all these products but like many others i would use them a couple of times then get bored and never use it again :rotfl:

i do already have hand cream on my desk and i have just started putting the moisturizer in the bathroom. now i need to work on my foot stuff and also put all my face stuff somewhere abit more 'in the way' so i actually remember to use it

I used a papaya body butter up yesterday - again i didnt like smelling so sweet. can anyone recommend a body shop body butter that isnt so sweet smelling?

painted toe nails salsa with base and top coats so hope it stays on better this time.

didn't do hands as still too short, think the Sally h stuff actually made them worse:mad: openned the "bright nail files"I bought from half price perfumes only to see it was 1 white file!!!!(it does say files on the pack:mad::mad:

OH said well if you will buy from these cheap sites what do you expect????

resisted BS butter @£3....final final sale stuff:)

think I am getting obsessed with flakes:(they only let you enter 2 codes a day, will not buy any more after multi pack is finished....it is not as if I need any more lippy:rotfl:

nearly finished huge bottle of L'occitane verbena shower gel WIBA...yes it smells lovely and gives a lot of bubbles,I will buy when on offer though as quite expensive
still using the self tan boots time delay, been at it forever:rotfl:WIBA.....well it was a freebie so don't know how much it costs,I don't like the smell but it leaves my skin very soft, not sure how brown it makes me,maybe I should stop using it to see "normal" colour!
