Mine has been dispatched and I got the email to say so at 4pm today. I'm maybe a bit optimistic that it'll turn up tomorrow but stranger things have happened :T I bet the plug adapter doesn't though hehe.
:rotfl: Well what I should really do is shut my big fat mouth!!!!Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
I had a good month in February the only essential that I needed to buy was toothpaste.

Opened up my 12 days of Christmas Lush box last night - I've been usingthe smaller sets and the goody bags I got first, but with the exception of a couple of bath bars and two pieces of Father Frost soap they're all gone now. Used a Jingle Spells last night and had a lovely purple bath, then trailed sparkly stars all over the house. They do turn up in some strange places
Had my hair cut the other day and it's a good bit shorter than it was, which means I need even less shampoo now. I can't see a time this year when I'm going to need to buy more shampoo!0 -
OK, I bought some things today but I did get great bargains:-
Went into Boots because I was looking for a blackhead removal tool. Am so tired of the persistent one on my right cheek along with a couple of whiteheads which I've tried removing with all variety of cleansers and scrubs to no avail. The only one I could find was a Tweezerman costing £8.00 which I thought was too dear. Did see (and buy) a box of Veet wax strips on clearance at £3.00 (half price) and cans of MrM's deodorant (Original Source) on clearance for £1.25 so bought two of these.
Then went into Superdrug to look for blackhead tool. Picked up a bottle of the Superdrug Vit E oil as others on here have raved about it and if it's a winner it will save me loads of money as I have been using Decleor. This was half price at £1.22 and in my store I got a free gift bag worth 99p with it! They suggested I look in The Body Shop for the tool.
Went to TBS. Tool should have been £3.00 but went through till at £2.50 and I was given a free sample of tea tree facial scrub.
So, all in all I got things that I wanted (ok, I probably wouldn't have bothered with wax strips but as I'm going away soon it will be good to do this in the hope that I don't get regrowth on holiday and bearing in mind that I used to go to have waxing done at a salon pre-holiday I've saved money again) or wanted to try (in the case of the Vit E oil).Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

It must have a whole 3 bits of 'scrub' to every generous handful of 'gloop'. these scrubby bits don't do ANYTHING!!! I am struggling to find HOW they were able to legally sell it as a scrub.
I had a Winnie the Pooh gift set too. I opened the shower gel and found it had no soapiness at all, it just slid off me without doing anything, so I binned it and gave the rest of the set to the charity shop.Mortgage to clear asap! - [STRIKE]£148,874.38 [/STRIKE]as at 1 May 2013£79,176.55 May 2018£59,516.06 July 2019November 2020 £35,914.620 -
Confession time...
I bought a copy of MC for the Neal's Yard moisturiser despite promising I wouldn't. I have no excuse, I just thought £3.50 for a decent full size moisturiser was too good a bargain to miss.
Also, still not managing to lose any weight despite having no chocolate. Must have been the danish pastries we were given every morning on the training course I went on this week.....0 -
Finally allowed myself to throw away the rest of a Sebastian finishing gel. I've been forcing myself to use it up but it actually smells a bit funny and is really sticky. There was only about a third of the bottle left so I decided to chuck it as I actually found it a bit depressing that I was having to use it. I can now go back to the John Frieda stuff, yay!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0

Hello I'm a new user and this is my first post. I'm very interested to see that there are various challenges to join. Is there a list of them anywhere?

Finished my No7 protect and perfect night cream last night so will open my No7 hydro quench overnight sorbet tonight, then I have matching day and night cream :rotfl:
Also finished my sure deoderant so I am using up a mini one I had in my sponge bag as I still have two other mini's when that one is finished and there probably is only a couple of days use left in it.
Also finished a small sample tube of No7 Protect and perfect serum so am now going to finish the half bottle that I have (not to mention the other 24 tubes and bottles I have of various sizes). On that topic did someone mention that you are supposed to use moisturiser on top of the serum??? I was under the impression that it was a moisturiser but I recall someone saying that it wasn't.
has anyone else noticed how many beauty ads there appears to be on TV at the moment or is it like everything else that you only notice them more when you are trying to avoid them:D0 -
