Went to do a mini-grocery shop yesterday and again stayed away from the toiletries aisle although I confess that I was planning on going to our local chemist to look for a blackhead plucker. The chemist was shut so I am planning on looking in Boots for one tomorrow. It has to be done. I have a blackhead and several whiteheads that are not going no matter what I apply to them.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

....How much perfume do you ladies use? Just 1 squirt, just once a day or what? I wonder as mine always last years yet other people seem to get through it quickly. Like the eyeshadow thing I guess!

I give my neck/collar bone a quick squirt either side then another squirt on one wrist which I then rub against the other wrist. I find this enough to last the working day - if I'm going out I'll wash & re-apply it so it smells fresh & not that old-lady pong of makeup, powder & stale perfume :p

I've used the Chanel No5 most days in February & I'm still only a quarter/half inch down the bottle. I know it will last till I go away in August especially as I also have a bottle of Chanel 'Allure' for 'best' ;)

BTW I keep them in the dark & as cool as I can even though it is sealed.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

sorry havent been in for a couple of days as ive been busy decluttering and ironing.

hope all are well and busy papmering.

i used a sachet of salt brushing stuff yesterday ive never tried doing that before, skin now feels really smooth and soft. also managed to use up a couple of sachets of moisturiser, nails looks really manky but im out of remover so they will be staying manky till i go morrys on saturday as local sainsburys only has little pots of remover pads at almost £2 .
hoping to find time to redo roots later as grey is creeping through again, ill be glad when ive used the touchup kits all up (i have 5 left) they only have enough to do around your hairline and your parting so the grey starts to creep through elsewhere. i didnt buy them i won a years supply - 12 packs so cant moan too much as i didnt pay for them;)

i keep all my perfumes in a closed cupboard in my bedroom so the light doesnt get to them

    Re: perfume useage.
I think I may be one of those annoying ladies who wears too much perfume :o
I'd say 3 or 4 squirts just as I'm about to leave, then maybe a couple of squirts every 2 hours or so. I suppose it depends on whether or not it's EDP or EDT. Some perfumes last, others don't.
I am a bit of a perfume junkie though, can't IMAGINE leaving the house with none on. I even wear it if I'm not going out :rotfl:

Same with me, I wear it everyday and wouldn't leave the house without it. I only use it in the mornings, before I go out, but as I love strong perfume that's all I need. If I go out in the evenings then I just spray a bit more....:)

Same, I use it at my neck and wrists in the morning, and don't apply any more unless I'm going out for the evening.

I bought MC and Glamour, but I needed magazines for a journey anyway, so thought I might as well get the stuff with them as well.

I know I always seem to be coming on here to say I've bought something or other, but without this thread it would have been so much more! I've really noticed how much less I've been bringing home recently.

Went into town to get my legs and eyebrows waxed and managed to stay out of boots wooohooo. Didn't even go near it. First time I have had my legs waxed but I am finding it more and more difficult to either shave or immac them as I have a bad hip and it prevents me from bending my leg, so I had to bite the bullet and for for a wax. It was quite sore but I will get used to it and it was fairly cheap at £13 for a half leg. I have decided that I will go every 6 weeks for a half leg wax, eyebrow wax and pedicure and that will be paid for with the money I would have spent on cosmetics and toiletries.

I think I may finish my small pot of No7 Protect and Perfect night cream tonight. I haven't finished my eyeshadow but think I will by sunday.

As far as perfume is concerned a year ago I had 4 bottles and told OH not to buy me any more, now I have only one which I am using, Estee Lauder's Beautiful, so I think it may be time to reverse that decision :D
