  • Hello
I'm in again this week, will try and get a little bit more done each day. Need to seriously attack the bedrooms but scared to set off an avalanche. In the meantime will tackle it all little by little as advised by you wonderful people.

My thanks also to pigpen, Toots and soappie for all their hard work with the thread.

Just checking in to say I'm back - no longer on my "jolly-days"!
Have to say returning to Gatwick was a very cold experience...I miss the warmth, the turquoise seas, etc. etc.
However, the house seems a lot more untidy than I remembered, so back on the bandwagon I hop! Thanks for keeping me on the list Pigpen!!

no worries glad you had a fabulous time.. but it seems to have gone ver quickly!!

Sandy.. you take care.. we don't want you getting ill any more! (I'd have discharged myself too.. I hate those places!)

Is do-able if dh does some towards it - have decided to put my foot down a bit more from now on a) he needs to do more cleaning around the house every day b) he needs to do more for our family rather than keep helping others c) he needs to realise that once I come home from work I don't suddenly have to take over everything while he sits on the computer (my laptop from work!!!) d) he needs to get off his a**e and get a job
tell him there's a new work policy that only staff can use work laptops, so he needs to get himself down to the library and use the ones there to job hunt, and in between pull his weight at home...

Remember the great pocket money debate? DD has shown her true colours. She hasn't touched her account since December she is 'living' off xmas money and she will be into 3 figures tomorrow...and we found out that she banked her birthday/xmas money LAST year and forgot she had done that...she has something like £500 stashed. Not bad for someone on a fiver a week pocket money! She has just handed me a cheque she got for her birthday! (Jan!)
She dreams of owning a mini. At this rate she'll probably be able to afford one! She is NEVER going to be on this site LOL
(DS on the other hand is permanently skint!)
Just make sure she doesn't lend DS any money...

I might be in this week... I'll see how it goes :D

Lend it to DS? yeah - when I can skate in hell...

I have to prise it out of her unwilling hands to pay the windowcleaner (I rarely have cash in the house).

Gawd help me if it ever occurs to her to charge INTEREST

erm actually Dora there probably IS a policy about who uses laptops, data encrytpion and all that.
We are to have passowrd protected memory sticks (they are locked up in a cupboard right now *rolleyes* and it's a wonder we haven't had a directive about the data we store on OUR OWN PCs and laptops (but if there were guess who wouldn't be using her own PC and laptop ;))

I'm in again this week - the usual thanks to pigpen, soappie and toots. I didn't manage to do any of my own extras last week, so will have to get on with it, as they all need doing. Going to post list with updates tomorrow night.

sandy - 'get well soon' vibes are on their way.
toots - the slicer should do HM bread, but it will be a while until I'm organised enough to get round to baking regularly. Might have a go in the next holidays, though.
froddy - hope it's good news for you in the morning

Can you please spare 'safe delivery' flylady vibes for my friend's daughter? She is 21, expecting twins and due to be induced tomorrow if nothing happens tonight. The babies (a boy and a girl) are due mid-March, I think, and everything's fine so far, but she's really fed up now and HUGE. Both babies are over 6lb, so they should be ok.

OK, back to work (bed at midnight unlikely - sorry toots - but I had a short nap to keep me going)
