Thanks Dusty and others - you've been very helpful. I think I set myself up to fail by trying to do too much - I know I say I won't aim for stars, but deep down I think maybe!!! I'll just do what I can when I can.
It doesn't help though on days like today when I've vacuumed right through and DH comes through the house in his wellies goes upstairs and leaves mud everywhere . I was . Why don't men think?
Mumof2, don’t worry I have less commitments than you and feel half the house is turning back into a hovel, and I keep thinking the same re the stars!!!
Glamazon, one of the receptionists in my surgery always asks what the appointment is for!!!!
Apologies, hugs and vibes for anyone I’ve missed xx
Have caught up on the thread, have done dailies and tidied the LR and nearly done the kitchen too. AF has come to join the other stomach pains so we’re having a party(NOT!!!!)0 -

No great suggestions for you, other than I copy my list onto a Word document each day, and try to stay off MSE til I've done as much as I can of it.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good evening
Done booger all here today, been too busy catching up with friends and removing the final pew from the church!
I did do a food shop and put it all away but that is about all in the flying sense of things.
Re those struggling to do everything on the list, it's there for guidance and not to beat yourselves up over if you don't do everything. As many will attest I can't remember ever claiming a star BUT being part of this thread means that more gets done in here than ever before and I have the friendship and support of people I would be proud to call my friends. The dot2dot approach works well for me, you decide on an area and clear/clean it then keep that clean and tidy and add another area an eventually the dots will all join upSo please don't get disheartened, do what you can and post your achievements so we can celebrate them together.

I wonder if I can pick your brains please. I REALLY want to be able to fly and keep all my rooms looking nice but it's proving very hard. I do have certain commitments on my time: 3 hours typing per day (roughly), at least an hour walking the dog; but I have 2 days without DS and 2 mornings without him. Apart from my dailies, I don't want to spend the weekends doing housework.
I'm trying to limit my time on here and am very sorry to ready I don't read previous posts much so apologies there to anyone who needs support. I get VERY easily distracted and find it hard to knuckle down and get on with a job.
Any ideas? I can feel I'm slipping; I'm trying to stay with it but other things are taking over again.
Thank you
If it were me, I'd print of a whole week's list at the beginning of the week, and use that, then SWITCH OFF THE COMPUTER. That way, you have the whole week of jobs to go at, and noe of us to distract you :j Then pick out one thing that you like, and one thing that really needs doing  Do them, then have a quick reward (coffee, magazine, exercise, papmper, whtaever you like, but just 10-15 mins). Repeat until you're fed up or finished.
You'll be amazed at how much you get done :T:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
