  • Good evening everyone,
I have just started comping for the first time this weekend. After spending near to 10 hours working my way from page 1 to 22 I was starting to wonder how much time most peole put into this on a daily/weekly basis?

I want to set myself some targets and was wondering whether people who are winning lots of things most month are entering every comp on the board? I know its not an exact science and down to luck but I am interested
in how much time your all investing?

Can i also say thanks to you all for making my first weekend so easy and
enjoyable by the brilliant way this forum is run xx

It all depends on my work/days off.I'd average a couple of hours actively each day entering plus some more posting.I also just browse the new stuff.Have you got roboform?

Hi, yes, I do have roboform - makes things very easy! I have not come across any postal entries yet - are these listed elsewhere?
I have ordered by date - but it took me literally all weekend to get up to todays date!! I am sure I will get faster, I was only entereing the ones I liked as well.

    Thanks for your help :A

emmajaybe, the postal comps, along with text and phone comps are posted here

its a sticky so is always to be found near the top of the board, just like this thread :)
i enter a heap, start with postals or daily comps (which are in a thread int he regular comps sub forum, first post contains links to many of the daily entry comps) then move on to the main board if i ahve time. i started doing them by end date but got frustrated by being behind all the time so do them with the regular view and then fiddle with end date/new topic views if i have time and can be annoyed to do so. takes me a good view hours everyday, between here and facebook games my day is completely filled and i resent hours that take me away form the computer lol

Thanks for all your advice. I have just been looking with amazement at what you won in March - could I ask approx how many hours you put in a day? With the weekly/monthly comps is it just a case of entering once and then or do you have to re-enter the next month/week?

Afternoon everyone, I have a quick question, I was lucky enough to win £150 Sweaty Betty vouchers back n January, after them getting lost in the post have finally received them after they resent them. My question is when I went to order from their website I realised that they take the money from your credit card and pay it back when they receive the vouchers, has anyone had to do this before ? Im a bit worried as money is very tight and I cant afford to lose the money if they should get lost in the post again. Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of that....seems very strange. I couldn't afford to take that chance.

Is there not a code on the vouchers to enter into the discount code box?
    Thank you all who post.

the weekly ones are mostly reenter each week, some of them get posted on the main board as new comps each week though so be careful not to duplicate. likewise with the monthly ones, i tend to only do thos ein the thread if i have heaps of time or the ones that are posted on main.

i live on th eocmputer :D today, ive got round to entering all thre dailies, entered the facebook andrex comp a good few times, been keeping up witht he classic fm thread and hourly entries for that, keeping up with the mcvities biccy thread, and entered that periodically (its 5x a day), likewise the jaffa cakes thread which has finally started. aroudn that ive played and caught up with farmville and !!!!! wars on facebook, colected my fairyland gold every 3 hours, replied to a few pms on there, cleared a couple of hundred people out of my twitter followers so i can try an dkeep up there again, accepted all my fb requests (if i dont keep up they get to be a nightmare) and chatted in a few other places too. not forgetting the copious ammounts of tea making and drinking of course.

the short answer.....hours each day usually.

Can u not send them recorded delivery, also before u send speak to them and ask if u send the vouchers in before ordering can u telephone ur order through as the vouchers should be a credit on ur acct as they should have them there, so u might be able to not have to use ur card xxx They shouldn't say no as it makes no diff if they have the voucher with them to do ur order xxx

    good luck xx
