I am having a problem with postals but don't know what I have done wrong.
I have had two returned to me but I am pretty sure that I will have more returned as I did them all the same. Can't reuse stamps as they have been franked so lost a bit of money doing postals the other night. Not very MSE.
I made my own postcards 14cm x 9cm. Don't know if that is too small. Put a line down the middle to seperate two sides & on the right put competition address. On the left put my name & address sideways along with answer if needed.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction because I don't want to waste stamps & I am obviously doing something wrong.0 -

i have taken to writing my answer and sticking my addy label on sideways because they kept coming back to me. not all of them, one or 2 a week usually came back in same post. lots of others went with no problem. writing answer/having phone number and email underneath my addy made no difference in that respect.
other thing i have done is put those postcards back in the post box exactly as they are...franked and all in hopes they would just get redelivered to proper place. they havent come back again (yet only did it with the 2 i got back early this week).0 -
I usually put a phone number or write 'thankyou' under postcode too. Only ever had 1 returned which I think was a late entry. Good luck, hth.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0

Where is the cheapest place to get postcards for comps from? I prefer the blank white ones as you can keep your address on a separate side from the addressee.0

Please could someone help me understand competition rules,
When it says competition closes at midnight on such and such a date what day does it mean?
E.g; Right now it is 23.30 on 3rd April so in 30 minutes will it be 00.00am on the 3rd of April or the 4th of April? 23.59pm is 3rd of April, 00.01am is 4th of April but 00.00am/midnight is when? TIA, trying to work out if I can still enter a competition!0 -

If comp closes on 3rd April at midnight they will/should/don't always accept entries upto 23.59.59 once you hit 00.00.01 then you are too late
I would just try it anyway - as some close early and some late - so worth a puntJo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

I have a question regarding the Visa comp please: do you get notified over the weekend if you are a winner? Thank you x and sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Couldn't find it in the T & Cs but I might have missed it.0
-
NNW - I think the visa cards notify weekend winners on the Monday (so you don't get wem's on Saturday/Sunday) itms..it'll probably be Tuesday this coming week, because of the bank hol..June wins: 2 x Robbie Williams tickets, iPad mini, £200 skatehut voucher
A huge thank you to all posters xx0
