Think what ppd was meaning was that you don't get a choice of what you enter - so you *may* win something unsuitable.
And that she feels it unfair that she doesn't get a ticket cos it is a subscription copy (paid for by a comper)
Not that the ticket idea was stupid
Well i bought my mag today. Got it delivered by Tesco...
Fingers crossed...
I think the ticket idea is quite a good one lolComping & Coupons!0 -
Whats the policy on "vote for me" posts?
I ask because I wasn't sure and posted one around a week ago and it got removed pretty quickly however some peoples appear to be left which I feel is quite unfair. Is there a set rule or is it just one rule for one person and one rule for another?Jan-Sept: Prizes worth £2248

All "vote for me" posts have to be posted on this thread here. They are not allowed anywhere else on the forum.
If people post elsewhere it will only get removed when reported to the abuse team. I assume yours got reported swiftly and the abuse team happened to be working at the time so it got removed quickly.0 -

i didnt know there was a thread for them, now i do i will make use of it in future
i must admit i posted a please vote for my cat in a thread at the w/e, but it was a comp thread that was going to be dead that day, and had been ongoing and bumped every few minutes for the few days that the comp was running and as a bunch of us had been talking allbeit re the comp questions i guessed it would be ok, no idea if it got removed or not (guess it should have been if it wasnt and i will know in future not to post themanywhere on here ever except the above linked thread now), so my apologies if mine is one of the ones you are upset by it getting left bladebaby.

No not at all upset purplecat was just a bit confused about the rules as I don't think it states it anywhere about the other thread (insert confused smiley here)
Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a sticky "vote for me" thread strictly for the competition board in the IWIWIW thread?Jan-Sept: Prizes worth £2248

No, There is already a dedicated thread for that purpose -
besides, vote for me's cause a lot of upset when there are several MSEr's involved and single specific would become quickly muddled and hard to navigate. (what is still live etc)Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

I've noticed on the Empire site that there are competitions just for newsletter subscribers.Does anybody know if you are automatically entered when you are a subscriber as there is nothing in the email about entering them?
