I'm really hoping that someone can hope and that I'm posting in the right place.
On Monday our neighbour came to tell us that her son refused a delivery with my husbands name but their address :he thinks it may have been our number but it may have been theirs, all a bit vague. (Really annoying as I remember seeing the van myself).
We've managed to track it down to DHL but they won't tell us who the parcel was from for "security reasons" and it's been returned to sender.
Husband has been entering a few comps but not keeping a record. He's now paranoid that he's won something fab. but will never see it. Does anyone have any ideas of what to do? Does anyone know of any comps that delvered prizes from DHL on Monday (or thereabouts).
If it's not a win we have no idea what it might be. I used to enter comps myself which may have been helpful as I tended to remember closing dates etc but I'm just too busy and out of touch.
Thanks to anyone who has any ideas at all : it's driving us mad.

2 things u could try, 1st ask ur neighbour to ring DHL and ask about the attempted delivery,
2nd ask DHL if they would attach a note to the returning parcel for the sender asking something along the lines, this parcel went to my neighbours with our name on it and is now back at dhl, if it is intended for us please contact us.. ( leave phone number or email) xxxx

not sure if either would work but it's worth a shot xxx

I think the only option u have is too wait and see if the comp comapny try to ring or email to confirm the addy, thye might do that, so all isn't lost just yet xxx

Thanks for posting and for all the answers but does anyone have the link for answering this?:)

This seems to be a postal entry, so there won't be an online entry.
Unfortunately as Darren's away and Diva's taking things a little slower, (No slight intended, flower :A) it's unlikely to be moved.

It's on the bridge Espaniako Printzeak Zubia on the far side, away from the museum.

    Hi all

I received an email today from a website where comps are frequently posted on here.

From this email it seems that they filter out people who enter the comps regularly so they do not have a chance of winning....are they allowed to do this?

It would also be nice to know how they decide who's entry to disregard.

    Here is the email:

Surely this is discrimination based solely on their suspicions...how would they know if an entrant intended to attend an event or not?

    I don't blame them.

The number of people who post on IWIWIW saying they've won tickets to something but cannot go is REALLY annoying. I don't see the point in entering competitions to win something you have no use for. Yes its ok offering them to others on here, but what about those who missed out who don't post on here, or those that do but aren't quick enough to respond.

I think its selfish and would encourage people not to just enter competitions for tickets for the sake of it when they never have any intentions of going.
