just a quick question.... what is the best way to find a list of comps such as the andrex gamt that are instant win, keep playing forever games? is it just a case of finding them in the dailies or do they have their own thread someewhere?

I have a question and am not sure where to post it - so i figured here would be a start. If I need to be somewhere else can someone steer me please?

When I am on a thread and it has expired - which often happens because I'm still on things posted on 10th June and just CAN'T catch up it seems! Anyway, if I hit expired I appear to then be moved 'with' the thread into the expired section (I learnt this after about half an hour of diligently entering expired competitions one day).......

So, I have tried a 'new' method. When I come across a competition which has reached it's end date I hit the 'expired' button and backspace three or four, so I am on something I've already entered, then come forwards from there.

And it always seems that the competition I was on which has expired ISN'T flagged up, but the one afterwards is.

What on earth am I doing wrong?

It strikes me that it should be as simple as the page you are on (the thread, or single competition) is out of date, you click the expired button - that one should be flagged as expired (and either moved or not moved) and the next one along should still be current.

I'm obviously doing something wrong - I'm also reaching a point where I'm going to stop trying - and as I appear to always be last along the board I do a valuable 'cleaning up' job I think - if only I could work out how to do it.

    HELP!

From the competition forum, you could right-click on competition threads & open them in a new tab in your web browser. After you're done with a particular comp you just have to close its tab, leaving the original competition forum page open in the original tab.

Thanks Painkiller I'll have a go at that - I have just been clicking onto 'next thread' to work my way through the never ending list!

If I have it in a new screen will just clicking on 'expired' do the job?

Should do, it won't disappear from the view in the 1st tab until you refresh it & even then it may take a short while for the change. Board Guides do go through the competition posts, in their spare time, expiring those which have ended so don't worry about expiring them too much.

Thanks for that - I always feel like I'm last in the room and so therefore it's my job to turn the lights off! I wish I could get more up to date (and your way of doing it may well help me do that because I can be selective about what I open up!) - I just never seem to have enough time.

    Welcome. :)
Just type the links without the http://www (eg website.co.uk/competition/comp1.htm) and someone else will create clickable links for you.
Once you've make enough posts (10 or 15) you will be able to post links yourself.

This forum however is strictly for competition posts, chat and queries should be in either The Compers Inn thread or the Competition Discussion Thread.
    Move requested.
