My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Thank you all for replying so quickly. They did put the prize up to £1500 which is probably why there is no online comp

They maybe thinking of going pay entries only on the itv comps and using this one to try it out, not only has the prize doubled (£15k) but entries are unlimited.

Got a feeling that they can't do that. They leave the online entries open for 4 extra days as it is so that people who have to use public PCs have time to enter, so I can't see that they could cut out online entries altogether. Maybe I'm wrong, hope not though :o

I hope you are right, but the chase is an itv one with no free entry route.

Have just ranted in wrong place, but wanted to get it off my chest - sorry to Martins Doll for hijacking her thread :o I've deleted it as I thought it inappropriate :o

Has anyone else had any problems with the Shortlist comps and their failure to deliver? I've had a couple of messages through FB about it, but no specifics.

Just to be clear I'm only cross with the PR company who handle their competitions and Shortlist themselves offering one prize and then delivering less...

For future reference for compers, can I advise that they save screenshots of the Shortlist competition pages (as they are when they enter), perhaps into a folder on their desktop so that if they are lucky enough to win and have similar problems to mine (believe me, I'm not alone in this situation with Shortlist), they have some proof for an ASA or ISP claim - luckily the poster of my comp (Painkiller) had linked a pic through photobucket (something I personally don't do when I'm posting) and I'm hoping it will prove invaluable.

The comp I won is this one btw.

Can I also take the opportunity to thank Painkiller for the link - even if I don't get the prizes, Shortlist will hopefully get their knuckles rapped.

    Hi Melli hunni,

I've replied to your very apologetic PM, and am so very sorry you've had this awful problem... :(

I must admit when I was posting all of the Shortlist comps last year that I have received loads of PMs from grateful members who had won from them. There was one member who had a sub prize of tickets to a show which was cancelled and was very happy with the substitute prize, he and his family had a wonderful time I'm so glad to say!

I do wish you well with getting your prize huns, and would suggest that you copy & paste Painkillers OP as to you right to claim the prize which was on offer.

PS. I've searched for the comp in question to try to help, but it has now been deleted from the website as it's from was posted way back in April.

Good luck hunni, keep us posted as to how you get on! :)
    xxx
