  • well done littlemiss!

A good idea - I need to leave my purse at home then I cannot be tempted to spend during lunch time. It's a hard time isn't it? I'll just pop in here and nip in there?

If I take any money with me to work fedup, it's £1 so if I do fancy a sweet treat I can use the charity box.

Oh and a good book on your lunch break helps too.

  • Can I please add eating lunch or dinner out max once a week? i have cut my spending right down, but i'm still wasting a lot and it needs to stop. i need to learn to identify what is necessary and what isn't! to do this, im trying to spend a little less time with a certain friend who spends money like its unlimited... however, last night her and another friend were going out for dinner but when i said i couldnt afford it, they made dinner at theirs instead which was very lovely of them!

  • Hello fedupandskint

Please could you add me onto this challenge! I would like to do 100 days from today - 2 March 2010.

I would like to give up the following 3 things:

    1) Not buying any new shampoo/conditioner/skincare until current products have run out
    2) Not buying any lovely new spangly make-up!
    3) Start going swimming at least twice a week - 20 lengths minimum each time

I could add on many other things but gonna see how I get on with these first!

    Cheers!! :j

Welcome both to FirstTimeSaver and to Ikate

Good luck on the next 31 days!

Let us all know how you get on along the way please

In Apr the next set of days pledged will start, we are having a break from 100 days to a month by month approach in order to make it more manageable as some of us found 100 days to long to keep track/motivated/be bothered!

Day 2 over and done with successfully and all going well here!

ohh can I join? My first 100/31 day challenge!

    My challenges:
No buying lunch at work, no buying books, no dinner out more than once a week, cooking at home from scratch or near scratch, keeping up with rather massive work and vollunteer commitments and running twice a week.

That should keep me busy! Thanks for running the challenge

  • Hiya,

Well it's day number three and I'm doing kinda okay on the challenges. Not bought any shampoo, conditioner, skin care or make-up.

I've got a stonking cold at the moment so haven't managed the swimming part yet :(

    Oh well, baby steps.....
