  • Hey Isla, welcome to the challenge. We take it month by month so there is just 9 days left of this challenge but its a great time to start!!!

I have stuck to all my pledges, but spent way too much money this week on going out as I haven't been working. Back to normal now though so hopefully the spending will stop.

    Hey!

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be brave and stick to my pledges and run them for May as well then. Might as well start as I mean to carry on!

It's so hard not to just watch the money disappear when you're off work, hopefully you won't spend so much now you're back at work :)

  • I forgot to say Fedup will be along at some point when she notices that there is new posts on there..... and add you to the list on the front page.

I usually try to budget for nights out each month, but I forgot about a wedding reception I was going to and I went out unplanned Monday night and had a few drinks last night too. Luckily I had money I could use (which before Nov I wouldn't have!) but now I've eaten into my birthday celebration money. Vicious circle!!! Grrrrr.

Anyway, good luck! My pledges are the same each month, I actually keep adding to them!

Still using up my toiletries. Cannot believe how long it has taken me to use the ones I have got. They are going down slowly. In the long run I have saved quite a bit.

Welcome aboard isla - I've added your pledge to the first page

As for me only 2 things bought this month which was SPF once a day application to help my skin with the eczema cream and a garden weeder that enabled me to get all the dandelions out of the lawn in record time with no back ache

2 items bought from QVC - feel I can allow myself those ones as needed and planning no more for this month and next month

This is my last post on here for a week as off on holiday - see you all when I return and good luck for the final week of April - be good out there¬

I've just realised its a new month!! Gosh this year is flying by. I used up a face scrub thing the other day that I've had a long time, and I can now start the new tube which I bought at christmas 09 to get the bonus points when I bought a perfume.

    Snap here!

I used up a St Ives facial scrub as a body scrub and now opened my delightfully extravagent Molton Brown one which was a birthday present.

And.....this is my last body scrub - no more in stock at long last after years!

  • I meant christmas 08 for that scrub I bought!! Although I used it the other day and it smells weird, not sure if it's 'gone off' as its an organic scrub or whether it actually smells like that.

Realised yesterday I don't actually miss magazines that much, I get a fix of them at work. Still not used any credit cards, and last week I ate out a lot but it was a celebratory week for my birthday so doesn't count!!
