Hi Niddy, incase you've forgotten me, I'm the one sorting out the Mother in Laws £13000 credit card debt with Lloyds Tsb. I know its been a long time without posting, but been waiting for Lloyds TSB to do something, well today we got a letter from SCM Solicitors (are they the in house solicitors?).
Basically they say they are instructed by LTSB to make formal demand on you to repay account balance, if payment is not to LTSB within 14 days court proceedings may be instigated against you without further reference.
Am I right in thinking that we sit tight and let LTSB continue to the next course of action?

Thanking you in advance, you dont know how much stress you've saved the MiL from, at 65 and not in the peak of health, the credit card has been putting a strain on her over the years, but you can see the difference in her since this CCA process got rolling......myself and all her family thank you sincerely :T:T:T:beer:

Hi NID, just thought I'd update you, remember me I live in France, allegedly owe Barclaycard Visa and Barclaycard Mastercard around 7k. Mercers have now given up and have set calders onto me regarding the Mastercard. I noticed yesterday that all the threatogrammes from Mercers were always for the Mastercard, so in reality I've not heard a peep for 6 month concirning the Barclaycard. weehee.
I now need to open an account in the UK, just a current account with debit card. Can you tell me what banks have no connections with Barclays as I'm worried they would take any money I had in the new account.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike

    Hiya

CoOp & RBS/Natwest give a debit card (eben on basic accounts) or HSBC do overseas accounts, which may be easier....

don't worry about the old Barclays stuff - that's finished, ignore them forever pretty much :rotfl:

    Hi,
Looking for some advice. I CCA'd Cahoot (sent an above board one back) but MBNA just haven't bothered to send anything. A few weeks over the deadline now.
My aim is not to stop paying them, but to get rid of the debt (which now has about 13 months left on a DMP) by offering a F & F (saving a bit of money) and requesting default to be taken off my file. Cahoot have defaulted me in 2006 - MBNA have marked 'Arrangement to pay'. my question is how do I approach the creditors with a F&F, where MBNA just ignored the request and Cahoot have produced one?

    Many thanks

F&F settlement templates are on page 1 - its worth sending one to each, as they may well do it anyway! No harm in asking :D
