Sorry don't know who it is for HBOS but Capital 1 is Debitas and Barclaycard is Mercers.
Edit: Just seen above post, I don't think they are they inhouse DCA's.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D
NSD AUGUST 6/8 :j0 -
Can someone tell me who the in house DCA's are for HBOS, cap one and barclaycard?
Even better if anyone has been chased up by one of these who could tell me what number they use to ring you.
Please start a new thread on this - its not relevant cos they all chop and change all the time...... lets not ruin this specific thread with this - it really does not matter who they are, who they use or why they use them.BorassicLint wrote: »Sorry don't know who it is for HBOS but Capital 1 is Debitas and Barclaycard is Mercers.

Hi Niddy,
Trust you had a great well deserved rest up in Bonny Scotland!
Just though I would catch up with you, nothing very exciting I'm afraid (he he he he he :rotfl:), surprise surprise I believe your last letter has left the muppets at Prefence Account Towers speechless! Not heard a sausage from them since I sent it. And no news is good news.
As for the others, they continue to seek me here and seek me there even though they are not supposed to hassle me whilst the enforceability of the CCA's is in dispute. However, with the advantage of modern technology my phones reject them before they ring. I still get letters, reminders and threats, but following your good advice on the legalities of the situation I am not stressed one bit by it. Calm, calm , calm. As soon as they send it to a DCA, off goes another template by recorded delivery. I think the Post Office are doing quite well out of this!!!!!
I sent my first letters to those listed below at the begining of November and have followed your advice to the letter.
So.....
MBNA (account 1) No response to CCA request whatsoever.
MBNA (account 2) Minimised Application form sent to me and a
reconstituted agreement. Illegible Copy template sent.
No response.
Citi Printed Recon Agreement. Template 3.3 sent. Response
received today, standard fob off. Debtors final response
recorded delivery being sent tomorrow.
B'Card Sent terms & conditions, refuse to correspond anymore
as they feel they have met their obligations.:rotfl:
Appropriate template sent. No response.
Preference As per first para
Reflex Zilch, nothing, nada!
B'Loan No CCA received, just a letter asking if we can come to
an arrangement. Ignored.
M & S Have acted promptly and courteously. Sent me a copy
of my original agreement which had all of the prescribed
terms, so all legit. They agreed to a payment plan and
my monthly payments have reduced by two thirds.
My interest is frozen and no default charges can be
applied which means that 100% of my payment comes
off of my debt. Before your advice, only 5% of my
monthly payment was left to reduce the debt, the
balance was lost to interest. If I am able to pay a lump
sum at any point to clear the debt, they will provide a
reduced settlement figure for me.
Cannot thank you enough for your excellent advice and making what appears to be an impossible legal minefield to the average Joe manageable.
If there is any change to the above I will post it here, in the meantime I will continue to enjoy reading this thread with interest and wish everyone
the best of luck with their endeavors.
Big sloppy kiss to you Niddy!:D0 -
I have read this thread with great interest.
Tonight i have contacted CCCS regarding my debt and i am wondering if i should pursue the CCA unenforcment process as i have a card from 2003 with 13.5 k on it. However as i contacted CCCS and haven't had my interview yet am i acknowledging the debt???
Some advice would be great appreciated. I have downloaded letter one and got it ready to post tomorrow with my £1 fee.
