We did just leave it in the end but I'm worried that it's going to start to be a recurring thing that when the mother is away step-DS is going to expect his girlfriend to stay to avoid problems.....

Thanks for the reply macgirl, I had kinda come to the same conclusion but she is such a lovely girl I get worried for her :)

Hi Nelmer... have just found your diary... when did it get to be this time at night though!?

Your step-DS'S girlfriend actually sounds very sensible for her age if she's getting herself out of the way. Maybe if it happens again you could ask them if they would like you to say anything - but make clear if it happens repeatedly, you will have to say something?

Have subscribed - I'm hoping you might inspire me to do something with the supposed ebay pile in the corner of my room! :)

    Update on the weekends antics:
Managed an hour of study Saturday before my Flylady inspired whirl round the house.
Then lovely NSD evening with friends Sat night...put the world to rights and arranged a couple of free days out together over the next couple of weeks - they have 2 DS's and 1 is my godson who is just a little legend, he told my DH on the weekend that he looks like Wayne Rooney and we all choursed together SHREK!!! and burst out laughing.....standing joke now!

Sunday morning I managed a £36 food bill (forgot we needed dog food which tipped me over ) and then all afternoon at the allotment. DH and step-DS put the homemade shed up in the morning and then DH and I spent the afternoon digging over more of the plot and planting a gooseberry bush, 2 rhubarb crowns and about a million onions :rotfl: (not sure how many but it was LOADS :D). I now feel like my arms are going fall off and drying my hair is quite a task!

DH has finally got on board with the debt busting, he refused to give DS £10 for a haircut on the weekend saying he could get it free at my friends!! :j :j :j By jove I think he's got it :j:j:j

Niccatw - I did sit down with step-DS yesterday evening and talked to him. He understands that it can't become a regular thing and if it does me and his Dad will have to say something...fingers crossed it won't come to that :o.

Sorry for the essay. Have a good day

Sorry niccatw....MBing is matched betting. When you load money into Betfair online you can only withdrawl winnings upto the value that you have deposited (I think I'm confusing myself now!!). So to get my money out I will need to place some matched bets and hope my winnings go to the other bookie site so I can withdrawl!

And more good new this morning, dog insurance has paid out £875 so I can whip that off DH's card. As soon as the statements come in I can redo my signature and monthly amout to be made!

    Have a good day everyone

    lots of positive today nelmer.
Matched betting is something i was never brave enough to do, apart from probably never having the start up money i just didn't want to risk anything, plus even without looking into it it sounded confusing :)

matched betting is quite confusing but I found I understood the basics and by applying those to just football matches it made it straight forward to make a bit of money. I think I made about £70 last year. I'm going to use £50 out of my ebay money to go with the £65 I can't withdraw and hopefully use that to start turning a bit of a profit again.

Hmmm, sounds like something that would get my poor wee brain in quite a pickle... and it has a hard enough time keeping up with things at the best of times...

(I'm not really here, I'm getting through my to do list...)
