Most here would not advocate deliberately parking on private property. However, we take issue with the "tickets" given out by firms such as Park Direct, demanding sums of money which bear no relation to any loss suffered by the landowner, and the subsequent follow-up letters threatening dire consequences which are full of lies and half-truths, designed to scare people into paying money which they don't owe.
So here's another "bottom line" - How many unpaid tickets have you pursued in court, and how many of those resulted in a judgment in Park Direct's favour? (excluding undefended default wins).
1. I haven't stated that i work for park direct
2. I haven't stated what my work is
3. I can show you PCN's pursued in court and won
4. Due to forums like this encouraging people to park where they like with no respect for other peoples properties, i will soon be able to show you loads more.0 -

What pathetic and utterly contemptible defence of the indefensible !!!
So Park Direct can send all sorts of threatening letters to keepers who are not even liable telling them they MUST pay and this is before judgement has been granted.
BUT they then stick two fingers up when the Court gives a judgement against them.
So refusing to comply with numerous legally binding Court orders but still trying to extort money by deception and threats .
Cowboys is too good a word ..bloody scamming CRIMINALS more like !0 -
Obvious this person works for park direct....
So show us the PCns you have won in court.

Maybe you could start by showing us where regular posters on this forum HAVE encouraged people to "park where they like"!0 -

Come on then, put your money where your mouth is and show us some defended cases that you won. And don't just trot out the Thomas case, we all know that was a set up.0 -
chrisspectre wrote: »And to those thinking that clamping and towing will be banned....maybe it will, maybe it won't. What i can tell you is that it hasn't worked in Scotland and councils will be given permission to clamp and tow, but they will soon find out they cannot cope with the demand.
Actually, Scottish councils have always had this option but it has only recently been picked-up in relation to legit enforcement and as a last resort after all other legal means have failed. The ban remains completely unchanged for private contrators.
Indeed, at least two of the councils taking this option have yet to use it, other than as a threat.
So what relavance this has to the rest of your ignorant, scamming, horsesh!t, I do not know?0 -

Sirdan has already adequately answered this! So I will simply second their comments!!
I always find it strange that PPC's quote winning lots of cases yet never give any details!! A small wager with you for every 1 defended case you can show us you won! We can show you 100 ignored invoices!0 -
Looks like our parking troll has been defeated and has left the building

Forums like this one are actually harmful to the pockets of those who follow their advice, as the advice given here is amateur and not well thought out. The result of a forum like this has led to several parking companies now insisting on pursuing charges through the courts, and yes they are winning.
What a load of old tosh !!!!! My car has had two G24 "tickets" and as yet they haven't had the guts to take me to court as the RK.
Go on - take me to court - I DARE YOU !!!!!!
In a previous post you mention PPCs losing in court because they didn't turn up - why on earth would they start proceedings and then not turn up ???????? I'll tell you - because they don't have a leg to stand on. Until PPCs take EVERY unpaid invoice to court it shows they know they aren't within the law.All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Who said people were wrongfully clamped? From what i see park direct didn't defend the cases so only lost through default.
So says someone who clearly lives in PPC world and therefore has not a clue about how County Court works.
Winning by default does NOT mean you win just because the other side fails to defend.
You still have to show the court that you have a proper and on the face of it justified valid claim.
So what has occurred is that the Court has ruled that in the absence of any evidence to the contrary the claimant has a valid claim.
Or to answer the question " Who said people were wrongfully clamped" ?
THE COURT DID AND HANDED DOWN A JUDGEMENT TO THAT EFFECT.
So why have your squeaky clean friends Park Direct failed to pay up ???
I refer you to my previous comments about the conduct of this company.0
