DansMum what a horrible shock for you all, you would have done everything correct so please don't beat yourself up about it as hard as that might be at the moment

    Oh DansMum :( How terrible.

I'm sure you did everything you could (hugs)
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

  • Just think - better to have done something than nothing at all. That would feel far worse.

Be kind to yourself. That is not nice sweetie. :(
  • I know you're right and thank you for that.... But I think you always question yourself and whether you could have done better. For instance I now remember I didnt get her chin up and head back, so did I open her airway enough? But I could hear her 'mechanically' breathing while I was doing the chest compressions... I'll also never forget the colour she was....:( She was 51... I think you newver hope you have to do it for real....

I'm OK although could quite happily start smoking again  I did have a drink the other day too - and thats from a boring teetotaller....

On the flip side. This lovely white stuff has put paid to work again... Although I am currently at work waiting for someone who wants a gift voucher. They said they'd be here at 10.... I'll give em 20 minutes then off to get rock salt and help clear our off road site then hopefully I can clear the backlog before Christmas!!!

Eeeee it never rains does it!! (especially when you want it to!)

It's only natural I suppose to feel you could have done better - but as you say, you could tell it was working. You did all you could, so well done. What a terrible shock for you all.

Still only 1" here - don't know whether to be relieved or glad! Can't get to work as only 15 miles away it was snowbound this morning but feel a bit of a fraud tbh!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Thanks Taka...

We're still without heating and hot water :( Thank goodness we have a real fire (which is currently being taken over by Long Suffering Dawg and all the felines...) Had to purchase a new DVD player the other day as I have 2 pooped ones so they've gone out. Got a basics one for £19.99 :D

I hope you've all receovered from any post new year [STRIKE]hangovers[/STRIKE] fluzziness :D

Have been productive over the last few days... Have inventoried (?) the cupboards and freezer so's I know's exactly whats there and that I do not need any shopping apart from esentials for a good while :D

Have sorted my cross stitch box out and have a big bundle of stuff to get shot of :D

We moved the living room around today just for a change :D

Tomorrow we're off into the Loft - eek spiders! Will sort through 3 or 4 bags. New motto Chuck, Charidy or Sell :D I've stilll got things up there that I've never unpacked and I've been in Chez DansMum for over 10 years....

I know its new year and everything but I'd love to get a grip of this MFW thingy this year how I have no debt and make the most of the low rates and pay off as much as I can...

Still quiet at work so hopefully I can sit down and work out stuff properly ie budget for us, pets and horses....
