Well I can't quite make out the paperwork so I'm going to write them a letter and ask them what's going on. It looks like the PPI was approx £5K but I cancelled it after only making 2 payments, it looks as if they have only refunded about £2K. Me thinks a little investigating is in need. Off to write a letter12/04/2019

Isn't e-mail just fabulously quick. Have e-mailed GEMoney and asked them for any charges that I've paid to be refunded and also written to the PPI people asking for confirmation that the full amount of money was refunded along with any payments made. Lets just sit ack and wait now.....12/04/2019

Oh guys I have had an absolutely terrible morning. Firstly checked my bank balance and the cheque I sent to Natwest in the post on Tuesday (first class) has still not registered on my account. Panicking about where it is, if it's arrived etc etc. As I only have internet banking and not telephone banking they can't help me
Then went to dentist (am absolutely terrified of dentist) and had to have a filling
Have come home and even though Studio have passed my debt onto s DCA they have got to be the most horrible and bullying people I have ever come across. Have tried to tell them that I am not refusing to pay the outstanding balance and indeed I am making regular payments but they are trying to bully me into paying more. What a horrible intimidating company they are. Sitting here trying to calm down now
Still no news about the charges with shapely12/04/2019

Poor you, you have had an awful morning.
Sorry you had to deal with such a horrible company, don't be intimidated you know how hard you are working to pay them off asap.
Don't panic about Natwest, whilst frustrating I'm sure its just because they are still catching up after the Bank Holiday.
Hope your day got better xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Thanks Woowoo. I've had an e-mail back off Gemworth, they are the company that the PPI was with and they've told me that they cannon help with my query and I need to contact GE Money directly. Looks as if it's another e-mail to be sent.
I must admit IQOR have got to be the worse debt recovery company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They really are the pits and I have written a letter to the Manager complaining. I don't think I'll get anywhere but I just had to vent my anger.
Have just checked the Shapely balance, no credits from the charges and no extra payments to be made today. On a brighter note I've got a few bids on e-bay and quite a few watchers on some of the other items. The items are only on sale for 99p but every little helps and I am still waiting for £16 from Amazon so that's something to look forward to.12/04/2019

When the debt recovery company phoned my aunt, she refused to confirm her identity - DOB, name that sort of thing, stating that it was too risky to give a complete stranger such identity sensitive information. Sure they got stroppy but never called again - and as she suggested they only ever wrote to her after that!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Good morning debtbusters. I'm determined not to let everything get me down today. The cheque has finally hit my account and even though it hasn't cleared at least I know it's safe and sound. Once that clears I can pay off the £20 that I planned to pay off along with the £20 that I owed my mum for petrol which she said I could keep so hopefully by Monday night the balance will be £50. If I get the refund of £48 then there'll only be £2 to pay. Lets think positive.
OH is taking me out for the day today and I've packed a few snacks for the day but he's agreed to take me out for a meal tonight so that's something to look forward to.
Also got lots of items ending on e-bay today and a few have already got some bids and the ther items have watchers so fingers crossed I'll make a few pounds today.
Hope you all have an enjoyable day. Catch up with you all later x12/04/2019
