My Very Long Journey

Well I've had 4 of the payments credited to my account today giving me £44. I've paid of £32.44 into the Shapely account which now brings my balance under £100. It currenty stands ar £90. I've kept £10 back as I have a few parcels to post so will use the £10 to pay for the postage. Have initiated another transfer from Amazon for £16 so that'll be another small amount to pay off. Still no response from Shapely regarding the charges if I could have that refunded I could probably pay the bleeding thing off using money from the cheque from OH. Off to update my sig now.12/04/2019

Still no refund off Barclaycard for mis-sold ppi either. The letter from the Ombudsman said it could take up to 8 weeks. Don't think it's going to amount to much but it would certainly pay off the Shapely. Come on Barclaycard12/04/2019

well done dtbdf is seems to be getting down nicely, shame about amazon taking so long, would it be worth giving barclaycard a call to chase them up after all their quick enough when it's the other way round.

Thanks Ruby I did call Barclaycard the other day but they refused to discuss it with me as I went to the FOS. They told me any news they have will be passed onto FOS who will then pass it onto me. It's so annoying as this reclaim has been going on since Nov 2008, firstly Barclaycard couldn't find my account and then asked me for statements then I didn;t hear anything from them for about 8 months so I went to FOS and now they are narked at me for going down that route. I didn't have the card for very long and only had a small credit limit so I'm not expecting a large refund. Am also waiting for the Halifax to get back to me regarding missold ppi on an old credit card. Why do these people take so long?12/04/2019

Well done for getting Shapely down to £90, you are so close now to having another one crossed out for good.
There is nothing I hate more than having to wait for answers from people, how annoying that Barclay Card won't discuss your claim with you - when it's your account after all!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I know woowoo. I'm telling myself that the cheque won't be very much but secretly I'm hoping it'll be thousands and I'll be pleasantly shocked (that's not going to happen
). Nothing to report today. No money made on e-bay or amazon but I do have about 9 watchers on items ending over the weekend.
OH is taking me out for the day on Saturday and he's buying me lunch so I'm really looking forward to that.12/04/2019

Ack thats nice - lunch out with DH - what a treat!
Got DH's PPI claims today - £200 from two each roughly but like you small limits and I cancelled the insurance as soon as I noticed (about 11 months)

Theres nothing wrong with thinking positive is there Red? If I get £100 from Barclaycard I'll be happy, £1000 and I'll e ecstatic (but that really isn't going to happen). Have just had a little idea. I took out a mortgage with GE Money some years ago and they sold me ppi. Once I realised I cancelled it but I'm wondering if I made any payments that I could re-claim. Will have to check that out. That's the job for tonight.12/04/2019
