Thanks for this pollyskettle - I was trying to keep an eye on the thread to see if things did actually go through, but couldn't find the thread again...must be something to do with it being expired?

Well I ordered two of the Nokia X6 and both of them have been confirmed orders and are being dispatched for tomorrow. So there is hope for people yet.
  • Hi,
I was going to order the Samsung Genio On o2 100 with a free Wii and £270 cashback. Does this mean that if I order it they're going to tell me it's incorrect and make me pay more?

    Thanks
    Alexandra

I ordered this on Friday. My phone application is still being processed but I'm not too hopeful - the deal has been taken off the website now. It's being tracked by topcashback though - hopefully that will work!
  • Order confirmed!! But do you think ther's still time for it to be cancelled? Says it will be here tomorrow though!

Doing 'what' since you were 15? Certainly NOT signing a legal contract, I hope. It's not 'rocket science' to understand you need to be 18 for a Mobile phone contract.
    Ignorance is NO excuse.

Not in my name obviously but I set it up, used my bank account for the direct debit, ran the account and claimed the cashback each time.

However, why is the handset saying O2 VODA ?

    I've had one phone declined:

We regret to advise you that, O2 (UK) Limited have informed us that they are unable to proceed with your application as their status criteria has not been met on this occasion. Therefore we are unable to despatch a handset to you.
Due to data protection, O2 (UK) Limited have not provided the reason for their decision and unfortunately we are not able to assist you further in this matter.
don't forget payasyougo Please remember that even though your application was not successful you can still benefit from the Dial-a-Phone Recommend-a-Friend scheme that entitles you to £20 for every successful recommendation you make.
    Yours sincerely

    The other shows as:

    Order Type:New Phone Order
    Status:
    Processing Application
    Delivery Date:
    02 Mar 2010

One would be one more than I thought I'd get.

How did you pay the contract charges? Thanks.

I suppose, at the end of the day, if it is a genuine offer, they are using statistics which would likely indicate that a high enough percentage of people don't apply for cashback and don't cancel the insurances. We just need to make sure we beat the system.

I have done cashback deals with Phones-4-U before, and as long as you play by the rules they pay out very efficiently.

The direct debit for the insurance shows as "POLICY ADMIN SERVS" this is the one I cancelled. I pay my contract by dd too but that is paid to O2. Hope that helps.
