:j Hi guys I'll join you if I may, I owe £21,000 and have just got my first letter from cccs so am right at the very begining. Lloyds are on of my biggest owes and they dont know whats coming yet because my wages and stuff still go into account, opened a new account yesterday, but payroll cant move it till next month, going to have to run down there and remove it as soon as it goes in so lloyds dont snaffle it.
would be good to keep this thread going, :beer:life sometimes gets in the way of good intentions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I agree, it would be good to keep it going. I'd forgotten about it tbh and I rarely go past the first page...so just a "bump" to keep it going.
pollywoggle, welcome and you've done the right thing. It may be a bit rough at first with creditors throwing tantrums...but it does get better. I'm 2 years into my dmp and made serious headway into clearing my debts and not had a call from a creditor since October 2008 - just get letters instead which promptly get filed in the shredding pile! Most creditors have removed my number from their records.
Good luck pollywoggle!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

going to have to call cccs tomorrow since I did my form filling on line last week I've had the new council tax bill and sometime this month will have the rent increase,... DOH didnt think it was nearly April and the new financial year, had 3 phone calls today which have that gap when you pick up so I just hung up.
Gonna have to tackle Lloyds tomorrow about missing bank statements and the address they have been sending them to. not to worried about other creditors, next, cap one, ambrose wilson and very, bit an worried about taking on lloyds though....
Am I right in thinking that once this is in motion, the cccs deal with all and I can ignore, with in reason, correspondence from these people and only need to pass on info if it changes to different people, like being passed to a debt collection agency
...........sorry guys but as you will find out I do tend to rabbit on a bit ;o)life sometimes gets in the way of good intentions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi, May i join in all the fun?:j
Been on my DMP for a while but recently moved and bills much higher (but flat and local area thousands times better so will plough on) finding it a real struggle. Bit like when i was first on the DMP, has became a reality check i think? but dont want to lower DMP monthly amount as want to be DF before i am forty:o (been paying debts back for 5+ years). next few months will be harder as been on strike so no pay, good job i have store cupboard of food and lots of stuff in freezer should only have to buy bread and fresh fruit and veg in April (budgetted £40 for this, only me in house).
This month i did not pay new rent (went up over £100) in full  as car tax needed and car in for MOT tomorrow and car is 11 years old so had to keep some of rent incase major probs (have no savings and what i had saved for mot and tax was spent on moving to better area, fingers crossed will go through fine and i can then catch up with rent).
CHILLOUT how was Kiev?
Have just baked a victoria sponge and had a slice for tea (yummy:D) will take some into work for others so i cannot make a piggy of myself, makes up for me being to tight to join tea club - tap water is free!
Good luck Polly and congrats on taking first step with DMP. Yes i ignore most of my normal creditors post only contact them if urgent and just inform them on cccs and forward stuff to cccs. If they say anything or keep ringing ask them to put everything in writing and stop contacting you by phone as need to pass to cccs.
Hope everyone one has had a nice weekend, will check back in the week (will try and come on tomorrow and tell you the (good;)) news about MOT!.

Thanks A.j,
went in to lloyds this morning to see why they stopped my application for internet banking, they say have had post returned as not known at this address, seems cr*ppy neighbour has been sending my post back , we are 16 he's 16a. hopefully all sorted now, although they are sending pin details through the post, so lets hope postman gets the right address.
wishing the days away until I can get wages sorted and get this paper work sent off to everyone, feel like I'm in limbo.
suns shining guys have a good day what ever your all up to xx ;o)life sometimes gets in the way of good intentions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hello Miss_missy,
Glad to read i am not only one who cleared debts then ran them up again!
It is hard as like others my family dont know, makes thingd v. difficult at times.
Off to do a bit more housework - only have small flat but still seems to take forever.
Post was not too long (unlike my first one and this one)!
I have been given 3 small bits of steak does anyone know how to tell what type of steak or am i best putting in slow cooker?

hi AJ
congrat on passing the MOT i think mines due next month hope it passes
none of our friends or family know about our debts, i think it would kill me dad hes always been a saver and moneysmart he always wanted us to save our money as kids i think thats why i loved spending it it was like rebelling
i wish i could be bothered for housework my house looks like a bombs hit it but at least all the dishes are washed and drying kids are having a little telly before bedtime
as for the steak cant tell what cut is what but when i dont know i love chopping it putting it in slow cooker with some onions and then once cooked nice and tender making a nice rich gravy getting some puff pastry to put over the top and popping it in oven to cook pastry, a lovely steak pie for tea make some veg to go on the side
hope you enjoy your steak however you cook it, youve got me thinking about steak pies now might have to make one for tea tomorrow
p.s if your dieting you can use filo pastry on top instead0 -

Glad your car passed it's MOT. Mine passed in January, I was surprised but what a relief. Just need to save some money for it's rather overdue service now, which I don't think will be such good news!
Sun's been out here too, pity I was stuck in an office and not able to enjoy it although it was nice getting out at lunch time and eating my sandwiches in the park.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
