After Reading Katies post again, it looks as though I will not get my refund though she has got till Tuesday to reply to my letter and on Tuesday I will contact Consumer Direct again to see what the next course of action will be.

But what now concerns me is I paid through Google Checkout which when I booked was how it had to be paid now that has been removed from her website and she is asking for payments by internet or telephone banking, cheque or postal order and no mention of Google Checkout this seems strange!

    darling katie

STOP USING YOUR AGE AS AN EXCUSE!!!! YOU ARE TOO OLD, YOU ARE A GROWN WOMAN.

ok, no more shouting. i suggest you learn how to use a dictionary - i do not have an invested interest in your company as i dont own anything in your company because i have not invested. i also do not have a vested interest in your company cos to be quite honest i don't have an interest in your company that way.

thank you for your interest in the fact i organised my own daughters birthday party, can i assure you that i am crb checkedl i have also in the past employed companies to organise my childrens bithday parties but this time did it myself.

i thank you for your interest in this forum

There is also testimonials on my website which anyone is free to view. And also of course on Freeindex
Personally I think its libel, your in a position to sue. I would not however worry about this rogue's posts, why she singled your company out to deflect her business is anyones guess, but we are a little too experienced on MSE to buy into those kind of posts.

I would post her photo (I have it already) but do not want to risk having this thread deleted, but it may be worth people checking them out on facebook, before they get on to it and delete them.

However as I have posted their business address, that just happens to be a home address. It is quite safe to post it.

I really don't think that is right putting her address on here.

And I explained about the cash payments earlier in this thread.

When people go to do a job at someone elses house, how else apart from CASH are they meant to be paid?

Cheque ~ What if it bounces?

Card ~ Do people walk around with card payment facilities on them?

I agree with everything else on this thread though.

I agree with everything else on this thread though.

But they used to take payments via the website through google checkout.IT's now either cash, cheque, postal order or bank transfer.Does that not seem odd to you?

And yes I know you mean for the remainder, but when they offered discount for paying in full...

IT seems to me they want payments that are harder to retrieve through any method than hoping they give a refund themselves.

So they would do a party and ask for payment once they'd finished by Google checkout?!

    That's what I'm talking about.

If I booked them and paid £X deposit, and by some miracle they actually turned up and did the party, I'd only be able to pay the balance by cheque, because, A. I don't think they would leave with a cheque from me incase it bounced, and B. I can't see them walking around with a card payment machine.

That's what I'm talking about when someone mentioned them asking to be paid with cash only for the balance on the day of the party.

That's why I edited to say I know you meant that lol It's friday night...child free drink night lol

As this is a business address, posting the address is perfectly acceptable, no different to saying Natwest Bank PLC, 233 Kings Road, London SW1.

I have no qualms about posting a companies address, its how a business works, they have a base, with which to do business from and to.

Lucky, I could have posted much more, from the phone number to their photographs. ;)
